Anti-Vettel bias in the media

by the way you was correct about RI on not 606 -- he was actually banned from not 606 for launching gutless cowardly spiteful little hate campaigns against myself ( as he has been doing on this forum )and others on there and then went crawling back to them on the " other motor sports section " trying to get reinstated --

===================

he also did the same with me on this board. ironically it was me who was given the ban as a result of his campaign of abuse, and who had to use the other motorsports board to comment !!

the guy's sole aims in contributing appear to be

a) to try to convince the world of his ridiculous claim that the 3 time wdc is one of the worst drivers on the grid, and

b) to try to poison and derail the forum by pursuing abusive campaigns against other posters.

I have never stated that Vettel "is one of the worst drivers on the grid"

Usual jpb immature comment.

It's safe to say Vettel is the best driver on the grid along with Alonso.

I think most people probably agree with that BBR. He's certainly on course to being one of the all time greats.

That would imply that there is more that he needs to do before he should be considered to be an “all time great”

So, what else does he need to do and what are the names of the drivers that he will then be ranked alongside with?

I think you'd make a great race commentator WTCBU.

Coulthard, "Vettel really does look supreme out there today"

WTCBU : "err yea viewers, e's jast finished the lap. so then coulthard, you think you know what you is tawking abaaat. you tell me, who is the greatest drivers ever."

coulthard : "err, alonso looks like he had some oversteer going into that corner".

WTCBU "no, no, no, coulthard. I aint avin that. you tell me oo is the greatest if you think vettel's any good. otherwise I aint commentating with you no more".

I was actually looking for a more serious and mature answer to my question but hey ho it appears that JPB could not provide one.

Would someone else like to answer my question instead? Perhaps a genuine Vettel fan for instance.

WTCBU has asked a decent question based on your post.

It would be good to hear your views on what Vettel needs to do to be great.

DC has already explained what he thinks Vettel needs to do, perhaps you have a similar view?

He hasn't asked me a reasonable question though.

He has used his post as an attempt to create confrontation, as he always does.

He isn't the compere of a pub quiz. Why should I tell him who I think the greatest drivers are when that's got nothing to do with the point being discussed and when he's not interested in what I think anyway ?

We all know that he hasn't asked the question because he's interested in my opinions, he's asked it as an attempt to commence an argument about who knows the most.

That is precisely one of the allegations which has been levelled against him in regards to getting banned from the other site, and with regards to him attempting to disrupt this one for genuine F1 fans.

I'd love to have a chat with someone about the great drivers, but im not going to start engaging with some who's just here to try to cause trouble and convince other posters that he's deserving of an accolade for being some kind of mastermind of motorsport, even though he's nothing of the sort.

The truth is that he probably does know more about motorsport than me. I'm actually surprised that even though ive followed F1 for the best part of 30 years, there are clearly posters on here, who understand the technical side of the sport quite a bit better than I do. He's probably one of those. But to be honest, who gives a shiiit ? It doesn't mean that I can't tell who's a good driver and who isn't. And besides, this place isn't intended as a competition to see who knows the most about motorsport, it's a forum to discuss and comment on sports events. It would be nice if it was possible to comment without the incredible spanner butting in to bang on about one of his obsessions and to remind everyone how much more he thinks he knows than everyone else.

what do you seriously think jpb means when he says vettel is on course to be one of the all time greats ,

after winning 3 world titles already at such a young age with another 10 years plus left in the sport it really isnt rocket science to work out what else vettel will achieve and whether or not the historians and experts will credit him with all time great status and the point " jpb " was making --

I'm still waiting for your response either way, either backing up your comments or a withdrawal

I do not know more about F1 than anyone else and the technical side does not interest me.

You come across to me as being yet another immature irritating nuisance. Wandering around the JA606 forums trying to be funny and then relying on evasiveness, distortion and lies to get you out of the hole you dig for your self..

You seem to me as being more concerned with collecting accolades that you award yourself in your nickname rather than actually contributing to any debate about sport.

People like you are ten a penny.

you make a good point about vettel -- he could probably retire now and very likely he would be regarded as a top 10 all time great driver because of the way he has dominated the last 3 years -

as we can see from this year without the best car he is still at the top of the WDC table which speaks volumes for his capacity to scavenge vital WDC points ,
it is mind boggling to think what he will go on to achieve before he retires in 12 years time or whatever armed with this natural racing intelligence he seems to possess --
---- would not surprise me if he goes on to decimate all the records before he finally retires --
