one incident which springs to mind is when he got clipped at the start in brazil last year and just let the car roll backwards as the other cars passed him - that required great instinctive speed of thought, and an amazing calmness and confidence.

we are on the same page -- that is the perfect example of his in car intelligence and one i have quoted a couple of times on here

that kind racing savvy has been very very very rare over the years and for me is a joy to see after years of watching many ordinary race drivers -

His intelligence at running into people under the safety car was superb last season.

His inability to overtake Button at Hungary and cried for his team to do something also displays scary intelligence.

His race engineer continually having to manage him as he does stupid things on the track also display a lot of intelligence.

We are supposed to give opinions dear martial, unfortunately some think their opinions are the gospel and are so dogmatic in their approach to debate that it makes this place like a child's playground

the trouble is that if you are doing it just to have a ruck, then it entrenches others in unreasonable positions, and leads to unbalanced discussion across the board.

in other words it ruins the board and just turns it into a slanging match that basically doesn't have anything to do with f1 but could just as easily be about anything.

i'd prefer the f1 board to be for f1 fans, rather than for fans of arguing the tosss.

I couldn't agree more with your 3rd paragraph. im not encouraging sucking up though, im trying to encourage keeping it to realistic opinions expressed in a sensible manner, rather than sticking come what may to an extreme point of view (and I don't think either of this have done this other than in your pissstaking articles) and expressing them in a manner which aims to be offensive to others.

if people get offended by my topics or any of my views on there favourite driver that is not my fault maybe people need to look at themselves and there own delicate senseabilities if they are so easily offended --

the thing is though that vettel isn't my favourite driver.

until this shytte started I couldn't stand him.

because there were so many comments on here last season though that I thought were ridiculously unfair to the guy, I ended up actually wanting him to win. I think that if people take the pisss out of Hamilton, then it's only going to encourage those anti vettel views.

I started the season of supporting other drivers again, but have now already got round to the stage where I am wanting vettel to win, and I don't want to want vettel to win.

for that reason I would ask you and other poster's to post more balanced views.
