I might get slated BUT

I think Lennon should be used as an impact player now, he's good for the last 30 mins in games when we need someone to come on and stretch a team,

Thoughts?

is he though? am struggling to think of many examples when he has done that.. i find he is better from the start..

i find that when he comes on he never warms up properly before hand and often twinges his hamstrings.

Who would start ahead of him thudd? We need to sort out the striker and left mid positions this summer first

Lennon provide width a different way to attack the opposition, great defensive cover, and the occasional goal. Behind Navas, is there a better right winger in this league?

THudd

Its not a matter of slating you but i would play Lennon every single time. Even when he's not that influential he gives us a far better shape (width) and options going forward.

As i said before, he can be inaffective individually when he is doubled up on, but this creates more space for another player (Bale? Dembele?).

Lennon is good a tracking back too. I'm glad he's underated means no one else is ever wanting to pinch him off us

Chronic I'd rather the third centre mid be more creative than the players linked with us though

like?

i agree that they either have to be totally creative, like Mata, or have to be a goal scorer, like fat frank. one or the other.

Bale was far more productive when he was right wing towards the end of the season, if we're gonna play with no Bale on the left I'd like to see Townsend given a chance, he;s direct, strong and is very confident, isn't scared to go at players

Cabaye?

Also, I think Walcott has surpassed Lennon now, unfortunately

I get what you're saying, but not many centre mids in the 'moutinho' role come to mind. I'd rather him than Guarin or Paulinho personally

That's in the Dutch league. Also he's a physical box to box midfielder, we need a good passer who controls games

I think we need a like-for-like replacement for Hudd if he is surplus as reported (which i hope is untrue). We have a good mix of CMs a present with Dembele, Sandro, Holtby and Hudd and all offer different strengths. Also Carroll in the mix.

Personally I think we need a #10 rather than another CM - I'd quite happily stick with what we have.
