In fairness I think hernandez is in direct competition with RVP. Rooney and Welbeck play with RVP quite well as they can drop deep comfortably. Hernandez if very similar to RVP in that he is on the shoulder of the last man always(i realise there is more to their games but hopefully you get my point).
So in that vein, I can never see him being a regular starter. Of course with RVP injured at the mo he shoudl be in there, IMO, he did very well last night, proper poacher.
Thats just my opinion.
Have we,the fans, given up on Hernandez?
...just because he isn't English?
-------------------------------------
Yes that's it presisely. If he was English, I am quite certain Chich would have already dislodged one of the world's best centre forwards, with him being Dutch
Just like Danny Welbeck has
Danny has made the 9 spot his own for seasons now. In fact, I'm amazed non-English RVP hadn't moved on being continually left on the bench, or shoved out onto the flank, so Danny Welbeck does his stuff at 9
Dave
You clearly have more intelligence than the OP
Hernandez all round game is pretty good to be honest.
When Welbeck plays it's usually from the left, Hernandez would be wanting to play where RVP is
Hernandez is much better than Welbeck.
Great article. 5stars. The anglophiles here will rip u to shreds though.
Hernandez is so much better than the dross that is Welbeck its not even close.
I have said it before and will say it again
THE ONLY REASON WELBECK IS STILL AT THE CLUB IS BECAUSE HE IS BRITISH.
I feel that Welbeck should be the one sitting on the
bench and not Hernandez. If it is link-up play we need
then play kagawa.
Welbeck is rusty and not sharp at all.
Sometimes he appears too heavy for his weight.
Watch how Hernandez dislodged his market last
night, he's the only one that does that in our team
and that makes him special.
What's special about Welbeck though?
Yet how many games has he played this season?
Hernandez all round game ia better than Danny Heskey.
D. Heskey doesn't even have a good hold up play asthe myth is circulating on these boards.
What's special about Welbeck though?

He is British and runs around.

What are you on about, you comlete and utter tool?
Hernandez build up play is not as bad as most say. He can hold the ball up and bring others in to play. His movement will always cause defenders problems and stretch defenses late on and i think he keeps possession well ok he only does 3 yard passes but it's not that big a deal if he cant spray 40 yard passes about.
Last night when De Gea smashed it up field Hernadez did well to get the ball under control and quickly gave it to Kagawa to carry on the attack it was good play and exactly what you would want from your striker up top
Although Wayne is overly harsh on Welbeck, there is a myth about Welbeck having a really good all round game.
I don't think his all round game is anything special and isn't really a massive up grade on the all round game of the much maligned Hernandez.
When you consider this and the fact that Hernandez is a far superior goal scorer for me there's no contest between the two as striker.
Unfortunately for Hernandez he's not as versatile as Welbeck so can't play on the wing so will always be competing with RVP for that main cf role.
Chicharito is class, I hope he gets more game time
Welbeck is an average player. As a football fan looking in it absolutely astounds me that both Kagawa and Hernandez can't get in ahead of him.
Notice how he beat his chest while celebrating
before the fans as if saying: " yeah this is what
you guys are missing".
One question I had this morning: where's the
Hernandez article?
I felt so bad I had to do one myself!
Imagine if Danny scored that kind of goal, how
many articles we will have here by now.
That's why I asked whether the fans have given
up on Hernandez.

I am not. Hernandez has a bettter first touch and close control than Danny unlike what the majority like to think.
Put Hernandez at Chelsea and he will score 35 a season.
it appears the OP only posts an article every 6 months, thank fúck.
I like Danny, but Chicha is much better. Thing is, Welbeck is more versatile which is why he gets more game time. I'd rather Chicha was our 3rd choice striker though
Dubbed, but the thing is Hernandez actually plays more games as a cf for us than Welbeck, and rightly so.
Last season anyway.
Welbeck was playing on the wing for the most part. I reckon if we had a left winger that was top quality Welbeck wouldn't have played that much last season.
