But if we got Maradona we would have to play him wide because he can't take Rooney's position.

Rooney is the king of Manchester United, didn't you know that? Without him we would probably be in the Championship, last season when he sulked and RVP was our best player was a lie, it was all Rooney.

Marco van Basten or Alan Shearer I think would be best suited to us.

Probably Georgie Best, what an absurdly good player he was.

Otherwise maybe Garrincha.

Both flawed geniuses though.

Original Ronaldo. Be perfect for us right now.

I saw this Souness gif the other day. Rangers on the attack, Souness gets the ball about 40 yards from goal, turns around and smacks a 80 yard pass back to his keeper, incredible.

Vc,

In that case we'll take a prime Robson. Would set us up a treat.

Would love a John Giles in this current Liverpool team as well. Superb technical ability with a nasty bite.

Regarding Souness, some fans, especially younger ones, only usually hear about his hard-man antics. He could be a cynical, dirty player at times but he was also a terrific footballer and leader.

He dominated midfields in this country for a good few years. Many didn't like him but he didn't care one bit. Win at all costs and he usually did.

Batistuta or Ronaldo. Best strikers ever.
