Totally. Without equivocation. I have always maintained, Utd are a far bigger draw without CL than Liverpool with.
Liverpool FC is clearly not seen by the top world footballers in the same way that their followers see them. Being circa 45th in the Fifa rankings and with no domestic title for near on a quarter of a century, first time CL in 5 seasons, small antiquated stadium, strange supporters, coupled with the fact that their best players always want to leave and use them as a stepping stone to the next level up in world football, like Barca, Chelsea, Utd, Madrid etc etc.

I guess it is why, Balotelli aside, they ended up going for a bunch of quite underwhelming players.
Don't think city fans were too upset to see the back of Balotelli in the end.
