Rob

That was a cracker, I'm sure if we lift the cup next month our players will be looking back and remembering the real highlight of the season, those 6 bag of sh-t games in the CL.

Not the worst prediction to think they United would smash them at OT when Villa, to all intents and purposes relegated.

...............

It wasn't a good one, was it?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Villa were conceding an average of 3 goals a game, probably well over 3 for away games.

So a prediction that we would beat them by at least 3 is not crazy.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Exactly. For the price given by the bookies it was well worth the risk

wolfsburg at home was decent enough

It was if you were stupid enough to ignore our own form.

Villa were conceding 3 goals a game. It's like you ignore that part conveniently.

I wasn't even the one who made the Villa prediction but I can't see why you would insuly somebody for saying they expect us to put a few goals past Villa.

Was the Wolfsburg home game that good? Just reading the BBC report now when I read this.

"Manager Louis van Gaal was adamant United have a "realistic" chance of winning the competition, when asked earlier this week."

LOL.

No, SLM. I never ignored it at all.

Likewise I did not ignore our own form, which led me to think the game would be a struggle.

Had we have comfortably won a few games before hand a duffing may well have been on the cards.

not many games this season where we had 15 attempts on goal

No, you didn't, but you are defending the idiot that did. That is your own fault.

I have absolutely no idea how you can think we will duff Leicester.

Come on Dunc, you're sounding more and more like Hafi. Where many of them any good? From what I can recall we started the game well but then went behind against the run of play. Got the 2 goals back and struggled near the end but overall wasn't a great performance but much needed win.

They don't really sit deep, they are just incredibly well organised and drilled with 2 banks of 4 which deals well with attacks. They are top of the league and have the best away record, when did we last beat on of the top sides at home comfortably? The highest ranked team in the league we beat comfortably this season at home were Stoke who are 10th.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The 3-2 Arsenal result was comfortable. Their goals came out of nowhere and they never capitalised on them. We controlled the whole game.
