I know you're a mouser and it's difficult for you but this is a serious thread, try to be objective.

Do you really think Liverpool will finish 8th?
---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yup

between 6th and 8th.

T Bone must get made to choke on a mould of Sir Bobby Charlton's phallus daily by his United supporting mother for him to be as bitter as he is.

6th? Your article makes it seem you think Liverpool will scrape into 8th at best.

Although i don't think you will finish 8th it's hardly that wild a prediction considering that's were you finished season just gone and the signings you have made are bang average.

If Everton beat us to Koulibaly id say youre position as number 1 in Merseyside is under threat.

The only worry with Jose is that he has a stack of grudges building up from criticisms of his management since Real. Going into one of his first interviews for United and preparing a list of apparent young players he's brought through isn't a positive sign. If he doesn't get off to a good start at United things could get prickly

I'm 100% convinced Jose will be given all the time he needs at United dependant on his attitude, which I think (more hope than anything) will be alot more different to his attitude at his previous clubs.

If the team is playing good football and progresion is there, even if the results may be patchy, then Jose should really have a decent time with it especially with SAF backing him on.

Now if Jose does a Eva on us and brings the image of the club down, which I think was the major issue as to why Chelsea lost form and why he was sacked, then the club will terminate his contract.

United will finish in the top 4. Too much investment and need to do so. The club would spend £300M in January to ensure it.
- 9/10 chance

Spurs should do. Pocchetino will be able to help them learn from their end to last season and push ahead again I expect. They've made some good signings too.
- 8/10 chance

Chelsea have a good chance of doing it. They're recruiting well and have a good manager who's approach is what they need. Some of the players they have are sleeping giants imo. Hazard and Fabregas are still the same players they were 2 seasons ago and will want to prove that.
- 7/10 chance

Liverpool, City and Arsenal all for me have 6/10 chance of doing it. I'm picking Liverpool though right now.

Mousers are really touchy. I dunno what they want me to say, "Yeh, they'll definitely finish top four, dark horses for the league." Even thought they've got a terrible keeper, a dross defence, average midfield, an injury prone/inconsistent attack and have signed Manninger and Klavan. I really can understand why people say they have a victim mentality now.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm going to have a stab in dark here and suggest people aren't taking you seriously because of the 7 signings Liverpool have made (albeit one in Jan loaned out again) you have chosen to focus on a 3rd choice keeper who is unlikely to see even 1 minute of Premier League play and a squad member CB (not the CB signed to compete for a first team place).

Do you think that might be it? Maybe?

Andy Goram could have probably scared most other players on his day and he was a goalkeeper. You started on Andy, you started on his mates as well.

50p to anyone who gets that reference.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Mental illness isn't a laughing matter. Except the chant of "there's only 2 Andy Goram's". That was very funny.

You can put my 50p on Leicester to win the CL. You never know...

Don't think I've ever found a chant funnier. Might just do that Can Solo. Vardy consoling Messi and telling him he'll win it next year would be football's most unexpected turn of events for sure.

CFC/MCFC 1st and 2nd - no idea what order

MUFC should be third, but that is only if Jose gets the team selection/formation right. Said it at the start of last season - and will repeart it again as nothing real has changed - but if Herrera gets 10 games (or, god forbid, more) then the team will look poor and struggle accordingly. Could say the same about lingard this season as well.

a nucleus of:

Darmian
Jones
Smalling
Shaw

Blind, Carrick, Fellaini, Mata, Mkhitaryan, Rooney, Schwein, Schneid, Valencia, Young.

Depay
Martial
Ibra

should be enough for third - and i do emphasise SHOULD.

If we see the likes of lingard, herrera and januzaj too often then i feel a dreadful season lies in wait.

have to keep the defenders fit as well. Very light in that area, especially as they have such a weak keeper to protect

We've signed four players who can significantly improve our first team plus a couple of experienced backups. There's nothing bang average about it.

Four? If Matip, Wijnaldum and whoever the feck else you're counting can significantly improve your first team. You're shiyte and will continue being shiyte.
