Didn't Walter announce well in advance that he was going to leave at the end of a season? Doesn't sound like a sacking (especially one with no notice) to me. Maybe somebody made a mistake.

"Does he say that Smith said Rangers sacked him twice?"
Funnily enough , he doesn't no
Might be something to do with Walter deciding 6 months before he left that he was leaving
Or it might be due to the fact that Walter won 8 Donestic trophies and got to a European final in his second stint at the club
Or it might be that the Celtic blogger is right...
I know where my money is going

That's what I remembered which made it strange but as NNH said, once was probably with Everton and the other with Rangers under Whyte.

Or maybe someone made a deliberate mistake then another person was so taken in by it to pointscore that they took all leave of their common sense...

Eck-no, sacked as manager. He's actually said twice that he's been sacked.

Is that the mental guy that crowdfunds from Celtic fans to attend any trial connected with Rangers?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What makes him mental? The fact that he's a court reporter?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
IMO it is pretty mental to request monies from fans so you can sit in a court to listen to proceedings involving your rival club
It is not normal behaviour
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He doesn't request monies from Celtic fans though-anyone can donate. Guy wants paid for doing his job-not that mental.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Can you post a list of people who crowdfund so they can go to a court case involving their rival team
That way we can quickly determine how normal his behavior is
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Don't think you can access that.

Interesting indeed
A BBC reporter as well, failing to pick up on the big story "
Interesting . Yet a celticblogger who regularly gets donation from Celtic fans to report on rangers picked it up !
I don't even see in the Doleman stuff where he says he was sacked by rangers...just that he was sacked twice.
Mind you, I can't really work the twitter so I could be strong but all I'm seeing is sacked twice.
I'm not minded to question Walter or even Doleman so I'm happy to accept that.
Btw...is anyone else suspicious that this Dole-man might be our very own Ginger?

Magnum - was it you who said you knew a man who had knocked back gers job? Ginger guy originally from Barrhead? And we had a wee dispute about it
He was sacked by Everton
I played beside his son at the time he got sacked. Billy Davies who was Motherwell manager at the time used to take us fro training and was straight up to his son to get the gossip
I believe it was you magnum .
Said person was in paper the other day saying he wasn't close to gers job . As I suspected

Might I suggest you read ecks comments again
Pay particular attention to " I wasn't close to it "

"“I wasn’t close. I had doubts about it. I did speak to them and I said that if they were to come back and offer me it, I would like to speak further.
“It was a very casual chat. It wasn’t what I would call an interview, it was meeting old friends again and seeing where they were going with the club.
“They say don’t go back and that was in my mind but they asked to speak to me and it was worth listening to what they had to say.
“But I believe Pedro Caixinha was probably uppermost in their minds even at that time."
