Either way, this is a massive step down from their primary target.

Don't think Lukaku was ever on their radar pal

What are you talking about? That doesn't even make sense 🤷🏻‍♂️

Between verrati and coutinho there is no comparison.

Yeah he could do playing with Suarez and Messi. But he could just be at his peak now, only time will tell. It's not like it's unheard of for Brazilian players not to kick on and perform well all througout their late 20's.

Fresh straw please..

Zlatan the king keeps grabbing at any he sees. Must have hands like a brickie that tosses off bricks

He's got better and better season on season.

Wouldn't surprise me one bit to see him hit 20 goals in all comps this coming season. I'd be gutted if we lost him but FSG get amazing fees and I don't think £72m is near it.

Yeah because every player continually improves their level as they get older.

He may well do, but it's hardly grasping at straws to suggest he could already be at his peak.

Not saying it is Darren but I don't think he is. He's got far stronger (couldn't do 90 mins when he joined for a couple of years) and is becoming more and more consistent with age. I think he'll be bona-fide world class in a few years personally.

and you're just plain deluded stretty if you think it's actually worth your effort to talk down Coutinho in order for JA606 members to think it's a good move for Liverpool to sell him to Barca.

Couldn't care less whether you do or don't. Not sure it would matter either way. Wouldn't have an effect on the outcome.

I would say given his talent level £72 million would be an amazing deal but in this day and age you probably wouldn't get much for that cash so you may as well
Keep him unless he becomes desperate for a move aka Suarez.

More than that exists to claim the same for Pogba

Robbing, was replying to redin.

You could be right. I think he's a bloody talented player so consistency, especially playing at a team like Barca, could see him reach a higher level. Similarly, he could struggle to make that leap but still be at this curfent level which is very good.

I don't think it's a wild suggestion to say this could be his peak (not saying it is). Big season for him coming up after last year.

Well if we look at respective levels of play and what they've both achieved in the game that is frankly a load of tosh.

Both are a long way off based on last season however.

Yeah I agree. If Klopp does play him centrally I think he'll be very dangerous. I didn't realise but in his last 9 games he scored 7 and set up two and got motm four times! Only played the full 90 five times too as was coming back from injury.

He needs to do that for a season. I think his attitude is excellent and I think he wants to make it.

There's a hell of a leap between getting better and becoming good enough to be deemed world class.

First of all its the Daily Mail so it's probably nonsense.

Second of all if Coutinho wants the move it will probably happen.

When Lukaku is going for £75m, Coutinho is going nowhere for an eight figure sum.

Why? Lukaku is a better premiership player than him.

hes been one of the top scorers in England over the last 5 years.

Will be interesting to see him more centrally, espwvially if you play Mane on the left and you now have an (Scotland's second choice) actual left back. Could free him up a bit and give him passing options.

Mental how much these lot think of him

He's good but by no stretch great. 9 figures Jesus on a bike
