Manchester and Salford has had the best development and investment pumped into it compared to when I lived there. Especially Salford.

Yeah she's a horrible MP and person.

I don't know a single person in Telford who actually likes her, she only stayed on in 17 and 19 due to Brexit.

Didn't help also in 17 the Labour candidate refused the offer from the Green candidate to stand down, and then lost by basically the same amount of votes that the Greens got
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Why the hell did they refuse that??
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Pride
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No, Labour has a general policy of not doing electoral pacts because focus groups tell them it's seen as grubby backalley deals that will be used against them
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Ultimately if she lost by roughly the same number as the green vote she wouldn’t have won, not every green voter would have gone and voted labour.

I lived in Telford for 6 months before moving to London when I was a kid, horrid area. I'm no fan of the midlands one bit.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Midlands is the best !!!! Especially Birmingham 😀
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The Midlands gets a bad reputation from people in the South East, but having lived in both I much preferred living in the Midlands. I found most people in the South East look down on places like Birmingham, whilst over paying for everything, generally being grumpy and being no better off.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Tbh it's really developed in recent times. Midlands have had some much needed investment which it has lacked for so long.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Tamworth has grown considerably, even in the 6 years since I left. My favourite addition is still the Aethelflaed statue on the roundabout at the train station. She is supposed to be pointing her spear towards the town centre for all the arrivals, but it looks like she I pointing directly at the Domino's Pizza.

NEW BoE forecasts post tax, post inflation wages and salaries are now forecast to fall over the next two years by 1.25% next year and 0.75% the year after.

Pre financial crisis this grew on average for nearly two decades by 3.25% per year.

High wage economy lads

Pledges to cut emissions from farming..

Farmer on radio 1 tries to greenwash it by stating that "cows eat grass, which captures carbon" but their diets are entirely the problem, and he's being disingenuous, the amount of grass fed beef in this country is tiny and is almost exclusively cows from birth to "store" age, when they will go off to finishing farms at eat nearly exclusively soybean meal.

If we want to cut carbon emissions and realistically we won't all cut down to have just grass fed beef, it's time we start getting seaweed or hemp in animals diets, it causes a massive reduction in their methane because they burp so much less. Not to mention it's far better for the environment than growing soy, and has many other uses meaning the entire crop is useable.

Really wouldn't be hard to meet those targets (which aren't extensive enough for me) without majorly impacting people

Looks like Boris may have been working the changes to benefit himself, though given he suffered no penalties for all his previous breaches why'd they choose now when they could have done this for the sexual harasser a ffew months ago and been praised...

all he has down has brought this to the publics attention

Probably thought using Paterson to change the system prior to his own visit to the standards committee was a machievelian masterstroke, oops!

UK have barely made any efforts to enforced the rules and have continually kicked the ball down the road.

Frost is a blowhard and we should all be embarrassed that he is negotiating for the UK

Nothing cruel about being found guilty of lobbying by an independent body.

Good to know this former MP believes that punishing the guilty is a cruel thing?

and what has he benefitted from 500k and he got a 30 day suspension?

I am assuming he was allowed to keep all the money he gained
