If Sturgeon calls an Indy ref, it was 55% unionist last time, so it might be 50-50 Now, which creates a brexit scenario, that SNP etc said was divisive

Same in Ulster, I reckon UK link parties would win, but it would be close, 55- 45 and so SF would do an SNP and seek to go again.

But, half of Scotland or NI voting unionist creates the same dilemma brexit faced, with a divide and angry populace.

Except, unlike remain, Scottish and Ulster unionist and loyalist people might rebel.

I remember as a kid having a 1 hour it lesson a week on an acorn computer learning how to type..

I used to mess around, clicking buttons to see what happened and soon enough knew more than the school it teacher.. who also happened to be the PE teacher.

So much so I was asked to go in to school during a school holiday to help teachers copy their work on to floppy disks

I got given a mars bar for 6 hours of my time, and to be honest I was pretty happy with it

You are youngish, but our teachers hit us in primary and grammar school...

Apologies if relayed before, but my dad was hit by a teacher in Belfast Boys Model, so dad chinned the teacher and was expelled...in 1950's

Many pupils just got battered....and took it.

Now, kids batter teachers and patents.

And the English teacher was forced to retire as a result. Quite sad, he was a great teacher before he had lasting damage from a car accident. Should never have snatched the baseball cap off a rude students head though apparently

Totally concur on how certain kids are now the bullies!

However, i worked with a guy who went bald very young due to beatings and bullying from tough Christian Brothers teachers....so as you infer, it may now have swung too far the other way, but the old ways were bad too.

P5 teachers threw missiles at us like nutters.

Heavy objects aimed at a 9 year olds head😬

I don't think kids hate their country due to schools teaching accurate history.

I think it's probably due to Increasing wage inequality, decreasing job opportunities, reduced social mobility, generation conflict, generational wage inequality, increasing debt due to HE, increased need for HE due to the over subscription for jobs, and a complete lack of regard for these issues by boomers and conservatives in general who, rather than addressing the compounding problems their ideology is creating point at education and say "you made them this way" rather than acknowledging that they can think for themselves and don't fancy their prospects
