“I went to Handsworth in Birmingham the other day to do a video on litter and it was absolutely appalling. It’s as close as I’ve come to a slum in this country. But the other thing I noticed there was that it was one of the worst integrated places I’ve ever been to. In fact, in the hour and a half I was filming news there I didn’t see another white face."
Its a new day in Britain.

What's going to be the point in Reform if they're just going to be rebadged Tories?

They shouldn’t be allowed to do it without triggering a by-election.
The principle that politicians are voted to represent their constituents may be true in theory, but in practice they’re following a different set of principles when defecting to a different party and towing different party lines.
People don’t actually vote for people nowadays they vote for parties, it’s an outdated principle.

Did you see her get corrected the other day for claiming NI voted to leave the EU?
She reminds me of a sixth former/uni student. The type who has some decent intelligence but because of that, they believe they're always correct without having the modesty to actually check things first.

Yeah I did, it was amazing how smug she was when she said it before being corrected.
The thing is, I do think politicians can be forgiven for the odd gaffe as it’s obviously gotta be quite difficult to retain all the information you are expected to know and then answer questions on the spot, all whilst knowing it’s being filmed and will go all around the internet - there’s clearly quite a bit pressure involved with taking these interviews, especially if you aren’t one of the best public speakers - but it’s the sheer arrogance, smugness, lack of self awareness and humility to being challenged on these things that piiiiisses me off about waaaanker Tories like the Badabook.
People would be more sympathetic to them if they actually showed some humanity, though I guess by definition they lack that given they are Tories.
