Hes a lot calmer on the ball than Hendo, has the technical ability and know how of a Brazillian, makes one twos and breaks forward even from deep DM positions, can run with the ball past players too and has skill and composure to sell a dummy pass, which hes already shown in pre season. Things you're never gna see from Hendo. Hes gna pick up yellows but hes usually pretty spot on with his tackles and long gangly legs. Needs to get used to his positional awareness with us though, but like i said its a lot different to Monacos system.
Give it to you for a laugh*
Ramsey will go to Chelsea and be very very good
Look I'm not a fan of Hendo, I've argued with plenty of Liverpool fans about him. And I'm not saying he's better than Fabinho. I just think Fabinho will underwhelm compared to expectations, he's really not that good with the ball at his feet, he can be a donkey at times. Hendo as captain and 'leader' etc will probably force his way in

does anyone remember the analysis from when Liverpool beat Arsenal 4-0 last season.
Ramsey was constantly vacating the midfield and playing a really naive/selfish way.
Football isn’t all about numbers and effort. I’ve been getting into proper tactical analysis recently and still a novice but Ramsey & Ozil cause a lot of issues for Arsenal. Teams literally base their whole attacking plan on trying to create a mismatch or a bit of space in a key Area and those two five it to you for a laugh...
----------------------------------------------------------------------
To give that context, (I think) he played in a midfield 2 against you guys? Which is just stupid tactics from Wenger. Would be like playing Pogba, KDB or Keita in a midfield two and expecting success.

I would have assumed all three would play in a set up like this:
Keita - Fabinho
----- Hendo
Unless you think that Milner might play instead of Fabinho?

Yeah was a 3-4-3, so MF 2, with the other being Xhaka...
Fabinho and Henderson together would surely be too defensive and weak on the ball. Although it is possible I suppose
Who would it be instead of Fabinho though? I didn't think it would be either Milner or Winjaldum and can't think of anyone else who would play in the midfield currently?
Seems to have lost it a bit
Ox if he was fit was basically a guaranteed starter. And yeah, the likes of Wij, Lallana, milner, and aren't they looking for a #10? What would be the point of Henderson when Fabinho is there?
Ok I don’t watch Ramsey much but he was bad that day, positionally very bad. They all were tbh. At the top level now, every midfield player needs to be switched in and responsible.
On the point of hendo/ Fabinho. Hendo’s job is to drop in between CB’s when they spread and allow the full back to get forward....he starts attacks very well with simple passes into midfield/out wise and provides good leadership.
Fabinho will probably do the same but be a bit better defensively and more athletic/win aerial duels.......we need that in midfield. Which is a shame because Hendo was a beast under Rodgers.....can still see him playin a lot, he’s a really intelligent footballer. Managers live him for a reason.

Again, I just thought looking at the options that with Ox injured for so long it will definitely be Fab/Keita/Hendo.
I don't really know, would be interested to see Liverpool fans thoughts?
Wijnaldum is a beast for us and Milner will definitely get games, can see Shaq playing AM a lot too...

Against poorer opposition is such hearsay.
There is such a bizarre level of arrogance towards the PL for PL fans who clearly don't take an interest in other leagues.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
edin i watch a lot of the german league and its great entertainment but doesn't hold a candle to the pl.
much easier pace overall.
So Auba went from an easier league to a harder one and still scored 10 in 12.
And Firmino's best scoring season in the easy Bundesliga was only one more than he got in the PL last season
Firmino isn’t primarily a goal scorer, listen to people like Thierry Henry, Steven Gerrard or Jurgen Klopp and you’ll see what he’s about...
He’s essentially a world class playmaker/false 9 who chips in with a decent return of goals too. Some big goals I might add.
I’ve seen him play about 4 positions I’m a game on many occasion for us. He drops into midfield, plays upfront, switches with the wingers and creates a lot of space/wins the ball in dangerous areas and passes very intelligently.
He’s a top player rated really highly by people in the game. so is Auba tbf but as a striker
So what you're saying is he's more like Danny Welbeck but without the injury problems

I’m saying he’s better than Ozil & aubameyang combined in our setup! And he scores for fun against Arsenal....
Liverpool fans really go on like Firmino is Messi, gets tiresome. In reality he's a top player but not as good as the likes of Kane and Aguero
In regards to the first point, it shows that you have no knowledge of the game, as you admitted yourself earlier.
With the second, what half decent player didn't score for fun against us in the banter era?! We're serious now

Auba on his own got as many assists in the league as Firmino and scored more goals.
7 league assists would be a poor return for Ozil, yet "World class playmaker" Firmino only got 7 in one of the most free scoring teams in Europe?
