How is finishing second against the best pl team in history an epic failure
----------------------------------------------------------------------
First time I’ve ever agreed with Stretty 😟
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Didn't we come closer to the 1st spot when we finished 5th under LVG though?
2nd place last season looks a lot better on paper than it was. In truth we were nowhere near 1st which made 2nd, 3rd and 4th a much of a muchness.
LVG came 15pts off top spot and got sacked. He also won the FA cup.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah, LVG finished 15 points off Leicester City
Jose finished 2nd behind possibly the best PL side ever
We got as many points last season as Leicester did in winning the title
2nd last season was a great achievement then? For me it wasn't. I'm still amazed how we managed it too as we certainly didn't play like the 2nd best team.

His tactical and coaching methods are revered by many but in practice they rarely bare fruit as he’s such a volaile character that he ends up rage quitting.
All those managers mentioned have taken his methods and been more successful with them.

He came 6th while winning two trophies and making CL at the first try.
People on here say things like ‘Jose came second, may as well have been 4th as it means nothing’ so surely it works both ways? Finishing 6th and making CL is the same as finishing outside top place in any position from 2-6?
Should go for Allegri. Basically someone who's worked with big players, won trophies but that people don't know loads about and are not familiar with.
Every manager since Fergie has been marked before they start.
Moyes - dull, sh!t and out of his depth.
LVG - been around donkeys years, known as incredibly arrogant and possibly out of touch.
Jose - wănker who'd just had the worst season of his career and by some distance.
Robb
You don't represent the majority of the fanbase mate. Loads of people want him gone, including match going fans. That to me suggest he's been a failure and that might not be because of 2nd place. It's more his football.
We've never gone into a new season with this doom and gloom before in my lifetime. I can't remember it anyway. Not even under Moyes n LVG did we go into week 1 with so many issues.

I don't see that as a huge achievement generally. Rather finish ahead of City however unlikely that is. That would more than likely mean we would win the league.
Strange thing is this is probably our best squad for about 7 yrs since we last made the CL final yet its probably the lowest i have felt goung into a season since probably the 1995 season when we lost Ince, Hughes and Kanchelskis
