It’s an interview with Pochettino, and it clearly WILL be his toughest season following the transfer debacle and stadium issues.

Grateful that he’s committed to us.

I’ve just finished Poch,s book , the way he gets the best out of players is so simple but yet so effective.

His got my backing, if Poch doesn’t want any players in then he knows what his doing.

Apparently his told anyone whom doesn’t want to be there to let him know and he will get rid of em.

I think its a pretty fair interview, namely he's telling the hard job ahead as he see's it, not a PR job.
And most of it makes sense,...... except ....
I cannot believe he's in agreement as much as he says with Levy.
Not bringing in one or two top players is what has made the road ahead as tough as he's predicting.

We're close to finishing a new stadium and provided a training facility which is top class. If Levy continues to show ambition in this manner and pay Pochettino his worth then it would be a stupid move for him to leave to be honest.

Going to Chelsea and Real Madrid might get him a trophy or two but he'll ultimately get fired or leave on 'mutual consent'. Staying at Spurs will give him the control and authority similar to what Fergie had at United.

It's down to Levy to continue paying him whatever else someone is willing to offer and show improvements and backing in the transfer market.

There aren't many teams in the world better than Spurs who aren't cut throat and trigger happy with firing for the sake of it.

Chelsea, Madrid, Barcelona, PSG, United and City wouldn't blink an eye lid in letting you go if you qualified for CL and nothing else.

Poch seems quite noble , one thing I did like was after the final north London derby he told Arsene how much he admired him for all he had achieved in the game.

Also the way he handled the whole Utd, Dire situation was very classy.

Are you kidding? I got to see the Invicibles, then the mighty banter era. I've had a great time!

Poch and this group of players will probably continue with this nearly mentality and go on to be Wenger without the early success, whereas he could have gone to Madrid and picked up a winning mentality and taken it with him his entire career.

Hell, even Wenger must regret not going to Madrid at some point.

Hmmm, yes I agree!

Lets face it had ZZ been any other manager he would have been binned by xmas last season. Real will now get back to replacing their managers on a regular basis (especially if they don't close the huge gap to Barca on the domestic front) and Poch will have plenty of future opportunities.

Right now he is more concerned with backing up last weeks hard won 3 points with 3 more and thats the way it should be regardless of stadium and transfer distractions.

How important do you feel Poch is to your club? This season is massive. If you miss out on CL and then lose poch the fans dissapointment will be justified over the lack of signings or improvements (nearly for 3 years now). Would be a huge missed opportunity for some silverware with this bunch of players
