Show my a whataboutery post.

Who says I haven't done any research? You? Congratulations.

I haven't found anything backing up your premise. So I dispute it. You tell me I'm wrong, I say prove it. You can't.

What can we conclude???
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Oh look, JS asking to fetch again. Yeah not happening lad, sorry.

You’ll have something to disprove the facts I posted then yeah? Go on off you pop.

We can conclude that you don’t go off fact. You go off opinion and hypothetical what ifs.

I’ll wait for you to come up with something factual before continuing.

“ You didn't give facts, if you did they would be easy to prove.”

FFS

I claimed black people were given longer sentences than white people. I backed it up with this;

“ White offenders were given the shortest custodial sentences on average, and Asian or Black offenders were given the longestin 2017, among all age and ethnic groups,”

If you refute this go and find some information that disproves it.

If you need specific information on specific crimes go and find it yourself. It’s you that wants that information not me.

This isn’t hard JS. Or are you that averse to looking up facts in a debate that you need others to do the work for you?

“ Analysis conducted for the Lammy Review found a clear direct association between ethnic group and the odds of receiving a custodial sentence. With black people 53%, Asian 55%, and other ethnic groups 81% more likely to be sent to prison for an indictable offence at the Crown Court, even when factoring in higher not-guilty plea rates.

Black men are 26% more likely than white men to be remanded in custody. They are also nearly 60% more likely to plead not guilty.”

https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/amp.theguardian.com/uk-news/2020/jan/15/bame-offenders-most-likely-to-be-jailed-for-drug-offences-research-reveals

“ Black and minority ethnic offenders are far more likely to be sent to prison for drug offences than other defendants, according to groundbreaking research commissioned by the Sentencing Council.
The stark disparity in courtroom outcomes is exposed by the official body that advises judges as it prepares to update guidelines for dealing with drug offenders in England and Wales.
The investigation reinforces concerns raised by the review conducted by the Labour MP David Lammy on behalf of the Ministry of Justice in 2017 that found that BAME individuals face bias in court.”

“ The Sentencing Council’s research concentrated on associations between an offender’ssex and ethnicity, and the type and length of sentence they received in three supply-related drug crimes. It drew on statistics from crown court records between 2012 and 2015.

The odds of a male offender receiving an immediate custodial sentence were found to be 2.4 times greater than for a female offender. Male defendants received sentences on average 14% longer than for women.
The odds of a black offender receiving an immediate custodial sentence were found to be 1.4 times the odds for a comparable white offender. For Asian offenders and those in the designated “other” ethnic group, the odds of receiving an immediate custodial sentence for the three drug offences were 1.5 times greater than for white offenders.
Asian offenders received custodial sentences on average 4% longer than the sentences imposed for white offenders, the research found. No differences were discovered when comparing custodial sentence lengths between other ethnic groups.
The Sentencing Council says it is “concerned that the sentencing guidelines should not contribute to or exacerbate [such] disparities”.

I’ll await the “yeah but what if.........“ response I know you’re going to come up with

Hurray!!! You found something!!!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Had it all the time knobhead

Just knew you wouldn’t pull your finger out and make an effort to educate yourself. You just don’t want to. Much easier to respond ‘yeah but what if...........’. Or you could come out with this gem again;

“Right. Black people are more likely to be arrested? Is that because they are doing something illegal?”

Behave. 😂😂

I could raise questions, but you'd get upset.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
If you have questions you can go looking for the answer yourself

I’m not your teacher. You’re a grown man, supposedly. I’ve given you plenty of facts proving disparity in prison sentencing by race. Now it’s time to do some work yourself. Or just carry on being in denial and asking daft questions like a child.

It’ll be the latter

Only one of us actions like a child... 😂

That report shows women have it good.
Class A dealing is quite equal in race
Class B not.

The initial stats in the report cover three offences. Curious to know why? 🤷‍♂️

Google will know. Off you pop

Your reasoning behind this?

Or this?

“ The odds of a black offender receiving an immediate custodial sentence were found to be 1.4 times the odds for a comparable white offender. ”

How about this?

“ For Asian offenders and those in the designated “other” ethnic group, the odds of receiving an immediate custodial sentence for the three drug offences were 1.5 times greater than for white offenders.”

Do black people receive longer sentences than white people for drug offences, yes or no?

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Why? You don't want a discussion about this. If I suggest something I'm whataboutery, or hypothetical. What do you want? What is the point in carrying on?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No facts to counter this point then?

You insist on facts when I make a point. How about you reciprocate instead of coming up with hypothetical situations that suit your argument.

Why three offences? What are they? Why not break it down for transparency?

The study for the class A and class B dealing are the most telling.

For class A it is near enough equal, class B your premise has validity. 👍
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Don’t know. Ask those who conducted the study.

Why are you 1.4 times more likely to receive and immediate custodial sentence if you are black next to their comparable white counterparts?

Does that not show the legal system punishes black defendants more harshly than their white counterparts?

Focus on the word comparable
