still bottling it against hendry...some things never change
From what I read, it wasn't a great standard from either player. If Hendry makes it through the qualifiers, I honestly think that in terms of performance, it's as good as winning his world titles. He might show some flashes of brilliance, but I just can't see him maintaining a good enough standard over 3 long qualifying rounds.....
Yep it wasn't a great standard, the first 3 frames were very poor and long and both players made a lot of errors, it did get better though.
I can't see Hendry making it past the qualifiers but you never know I guess, just got to take it one game at a time.
Jimmy was awful, both in missing sitters & awful safety play, he needs to concentrate on seniors now, Hendry made some decent breaks, but misses lots & safety wasn't good, he'll get picked off by most others I'm afraid....
given that jimmy never retired, and has always played on the tour, it surprises me how shiiite he's become
i mean age shouldnt impair you that much on a snooker table
reardon and fred davis were still v useful players in their 50s
Jimmy actually done well in the Gibraltar Open last month, he beat Bingham but judging how he played yesterday and how he has played for most of the season I don't know how he managed to do that
Agreed peks, it's terrible watching him lose his legend.. If he had it in the first place...
Jimmy you're not the people's champion you're the people's chump
Booooo
Hendry getting excited over beating a 60 year old
He’ll soon get his.....
White not only people’s
Champ but Seniors champ too.
Hendry is what? The commentators champion?
Jimmy is 58, Hendry is 52 so not much of an age difference between them
Jimmy may be the seniors champ but that's not exactly something to brag about
Lol true
But maybe Hendry needs to concentrate on the Seniors where he has a chance.
I hope Mr Hearn will stop giving Jimmy wildcard tours.
I hope so too, Jimmy needs to concentrate on beating Joe Johnson & Dennis Taylor with breaks of 10 now... He's so past it
They all need to stop embarrassing themselves now. I remember Steve Davis winning a frame and getting pity applause. It was sad to watch.
Jimmy should’ve retired 10-15 years ago no doubt
Does he still think he'll be world champion one day ?
Keep believing Jimmy
Jimmy is still flying in practise.
Yawn... If he could play like he does in practice he'd be a contender for the main prize... 😬🏆
On a serious level though I do still respect Jimmy for what he has done for the game, in his prime he was a fine player but I just feel it is time for him to retire now and focus on the seniors.
I will more then likely say the same about Hendry this time next year as well!
Let's hear more of your favourite crucible matches wetherbyterrier. This time you can include whatever matches you want even if it's biased lol.
Day 8 : Ronnie O'Sullivan v John Higgins 2001 world final... 18-14, always lead, kept Higgins at bay... The start of his dynasty... 👍🏆
Michael White lost 6-4 to Ashley Cartey
Michael White is such a disappointment, he was a promising youngster & was looking like a player in the game, he needs coaching, or talk to someone... He's still got time.
I think he suffered from depression 3-4 years ago or so. I hope he's okay and will get back to his old form.
