Foden needs to actually step up in an England shirt, he’s been pretty crap on the whole. City form means little if he plays badly for England. I’d drop him to the bench and use him as a sub late in games.

Shame Mitchell didn’t get in, I hate seeing Trips play left back. It’s a real problem area for England with Shaw’s injury problems.

Good to see Wharton get a call. Has been better than Mainoo and more experienced at senior level. The way he stepped up to PL was seamless.

Perhaps a lesson there for United. Our midfield is poor anyway so getting in a player from there with the attributes couldn't make it any worse!

I'd buy Ampadu...

Bit mad if Curtis Jones is in and Harvey Elliott isn't.
