I think we will be looking and expecting to win tomorrow, can Forest score more than one goal, that is likely to be crucial.
Big decisions for GON ahead of this one. His formation on Wednesday gave no hint of a change from 4 at the back. But since then he’s been saying he recognises the system he’s been using doesn’t suit some players. We wait and see.
Do think defensively one thing he must do whether it’s as part of a 3 or 4 is reinstate Dawson.
Can’t imagine any of the signings in the last day or two will play this weekend. Give them the international break time to settle in.
According to the ever reliable Mr Keen of the E&S Jose Sa isn't making the short journey to Nottingham

O'Neil did hint at a move to Saudi for Sa though as has been rumoured.
Saudi transfer deadline closes on Monday, although some sites say October, therefore plenty time for Sa to go, however looks like Bentley is staying as back up.
It appears that the Saudi window does close on Monday and not later in the month. Transfermkt has it Monday and they are pretty much spot on and up to date with all transfers across the globe.

Disappointing window yet again. No proven Prem quality yet again. Scattergun approach to signing a bunch of “ones for the future” and hoping for the best.
From the BBC ….
"I think Gary O'Neil is going to be a little disappointed with Wolves' window," said Brown on the BBC Football News Show. "I think they need a little bit more in the squad and he is going to really have to do well on the training ground.
I'm a bit worried about the transfers, in and out, but time will tell.
There has to be half a dozen teams worse off than us, so only slightly worried about relegation.
We should have a good chance to put one over on Forest today as their team will be as changed as ours.

Certainly can’t remember Wolves ever having such a busy end to the transfer window as that. We’ve certainly grown the squad which was one of the objectives. Don’t suppose we were ever going to get equal quality to Neto and Kilman as their replacements without spending most of the £100m we got in just on two players. But Andre, Forbs, Strand Larsen, Gomes, Lima, Johnstone plus some promising youngsters makes it a good use of the money received. And we add Mosquera and Guedes to last years squad. An experienced centre back maybe what’s missing from the shopping list, so hopefully Dawson stays fit
My team for the Forest game would be;
Johnstone
Mosquera, Dawson, Toti
Semedo, Lemina, Gomes, Ait Nouri
Guedes, Strand Larsen, Cunha

Sa

Net spend = Zilch
Fosun Out!
Pretty close DJ, but as we are away I might be inclined to put Doyle in there and leave Guedes on the bench in a 3-5-2
Can't live in the past, it's like saying you'd prefer Bully in for JSL, supporters actually support so that's me sorted for this afternoon, supporting anyone playing in a gold shirt at the florists

Line up:-
Wolves: Johnstone, Semedo, Mosquera, Dawson, Toti, J.Gomes, Lemina, Bellegarde, Cunha, Ait-Nouri, Larsen.
Subs: Bentley, Bueno, Doherty, Doyle, Andre, Sarabia, R.Gomes, Hwang, Guedes.
Sa not in the squad. On his way then. So much for Johnstone offering extra competition. At least GON has seen the light re Hwang.
Wolverhampton Wanderers
Wolves have lost their last five Premier League matches. They last had a longer losing run when losing the final three games of 2020-21 and opening three games of 2021-22.
They have conceded eight goals in their opening two Premier League games, becoming the first side in top-flight history to have done so on more than one occasion.
Among current top-flight clubs, Wolves and Southampton are on the joint-longest run of Premier League matches without a clean sheet (14).
Wolves have won just one of their last 20 Premier League matches in August (D9, L10), a 1-0 triumph at Everton last year.
They have failed to score a goal from outside the penalty area in their last 46 Premier League games.
All bodes well then 😂
All the signs point to a convincing Wolves win.
I hope we switch to a back 3, Mosquera, Dawson, Toti, but who knows?
