The only thing you can bet on is, Levy making the worst possible decision.

And you can take that as you will.

Betrayed all those principles he was so fiercely proud of you mean?

Anyway we need someone who is technically competent in the league now.

Spurs have just regained some creditability by winning their first trophy in 17 years and first European trophy in 41 years.

On the back of that, our rivals from up the road are feeling the heat because they failed to win anything yet again this season and they certainly have no pedigree of winning European trophies. So the narrative has become quite positive for Spurs.

If we then sack the manager on the back of all this we will yet again become a laughing stock and it will be used as a stick to beat us with for years until any new manager actually wins something.

The sensible thing to do is to give Ange the summer window and start of the season. If, by Christmas, results and league position are not good, then that would be the time to pull the plug.

we have to back him now, yes its a gamble but we have a feel good factor back whihc would be madness to get rid of by sacking him.

Give him a chance, the players believe in him, back him with better players and perhaps coaches.

He has a grit and determination about him which I love, he get's Spurs and he has won us our first major trophy in years - you gotta back him.

I hear ya but then you get into the situation that United found themselves in this season. No point giving a manager a few games and then sacking him because his approach in the league was the same mess its been for 18months. Again its another risk and a chance of another wasted season if a good candidate isn't available.

The Club has to decide now. We've had 2 years of Ange. Now is the time to decide if he's the right guy (Cup win) or not (league form for 18 months & questionable tactics or approach)

We all know now (on the back of something positive) is the time to strengthen. its what all the good teams do. The club is at a crossroads. As Devon said yesterday.... No more kids, The club will be competing with the big boys next year.... This is what the stadium was built for.. Levy has to prove NOW that his sporting ambitions match his commercial ones or it will be another wasted opportunity.

The club must back Ange or sack him... another passive window will see us go nowhere

Why though? Why should'nt we back him? This could galvanise him and the team even more, compounding with the win and building that mentality to go on and be a successful team.

They've been on a journey together and think it's beneficial to keep that journey going.

It is a gamble and if it goes horribly wrong then so be it, sack him in November and we start again.

I think you’d be wise to hold on to him and see how the season begins.

There will be not only added confidence for the players in their own ability but confidence that the manager actually knows what he’s doing after landing them winners medals. They’ll fight for him more and believe in his ideas. Confidence and complete buy in from the players does wonderful things in football.

By back him I mean;

1. Don't sack him
2. Bring in players in the summer to strengthen

Players that make the 1st team and Squad better, Not talented but inexperienced kids (Gray, Bergvall, Odobert.. all are great & their time will come).Spurs need to get the salary cap up... We have the infrastructure, have the stadium, have proven we can win and have CL football.. The only thing that will stop us signing top players is wages.... Thats down to Levy

Ok, well good luck with that!

Wages aren't necessarily the only obstacle.

I think people sometimes confuse not paying the highest wages with actually not having a chance to sign the best players because they are looking above us.

Spurs have to be smart in how they target players. City can come along and say, we've got Pep, we've got trophies, we will win stuff, oh and here's £300k a week. Top players don't just sign for money.

If we want to attract top players we need to be able to offer the whole package otherwise they won't come, and wages is part of that.

But i agree that now is the time. We have built a young squad and need to add that bit of star quality, and that will cost big fees and big wages. We have a fresh trophy, we have UCL, our appeal is now much improved.

I would settle for 3 quality first team ready signings - LW, CM/DM & FWD.

We have Vuskovic coming in as a legit 4th choice CB. Young and a lot to learn but seemingly very high quality.

I think we need to strike while the iron is hot and not drag this out until August.

He deserves a stay of execution. We just can’t sack a man that’s just won us a European title. The optics of that would absolutely make us an absolute laughing stock. I get we’ve had some serious fortune along the way but I don’t really think we have a choice. Plus, the players are fully on board with him. They’ve not downed tools. In fact, it seems like they’ll run through brick walls for him. He’s shown in the Europa an ability to adapt which has been missing for so long. We’re not going down next year. Not a chance. The circumstances are different. Injuries and priorities affected that, as well as some seriously poor tactical displays from Ange, admittedly.

Despite the fact that I’ve been Ange out for some time, I just don’t think we can get rid of him now. Also, AFTP, if he gets one more year, if it fails, Pochettino will be available the following summer. The stars may then align a bit better should we then sack Ange.

Well if we’re lumbered with him for another season, so be it, but he needs to get his f*cking act together domestically.
