What a fine line the future of your manager is walking on. One game is deciding his fate.
If he had lost most would be calling for his head after spurs worst season in decades.
But he won, probably undeservedly and you have your first trophy in decades.
Think you're forced into another year of Ange ball where you'll struggle again in the league while being fodder in the CL.
But hey I could be wrong.😄🏆

Leeds will be PL fodder, so hopefully you'll be more concerned about them than us next season

Don, I remember there was a gang of you that wanted Ange out early on, the abuse that was given out about Ange and that he was a fraud and he was out of his depth etc etc.
I think some of the fans on this forum look a bit silly now. Hopefully some of you will reflect on your previous comments but I doubt it!
Our most successful manager in at least 17 years!
I said at the time we need to wait, that we can't keep sacking managers, when times get tough we need to back the manager and back the team.
Too many fans schit the bed and don't look at the bigger picture, the fact that we had a ridiculous amount of injuries this season and then it was fairly obvious that when they did start coming back that we were concentrating on the Europa League.
Levy didn't pull the trigger on the manager this time like he normally would have done and now we have a trophy and champion's league qualification at the end of it.

He deserves a stay of execution. We just can’t sack a man that’s just won us a European title. The optics of that would absolutely make us an absolute laughing stock.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No offence but did that ship not sail with Maureen's sacking?
FWIW, I think Ange will walk and probably for a better job. Hold fire on your howls until you see what players that £100m CL money gets you. I suspect Pep will go early and Ange will get a shot.

This is bang on.
I have no issue with people who have a different opinion to me, and I am happy to debate the issues, but some of the vitriol on here from our own fans against our club, our coach our players takes it too far.
Then we see a lot of doubling down as fans fear being made to look like fools or unpleasant people.
I hope next season we see on here a bit more considered comment, less abuse, less knee jerking, less division because at times this season it has been unbearable.

1) I still think he’s a bit of a fraud, clearly out of his depth in the PL
2) The injury excuse is really f*cking tired now.
3) Levy couldn’t find a decent replacement, that’s he only reason he wasn’t fired.

Not quite sure how a new manager could do any worse to be honest but even if he started poorly, you'd still have to give him the time and not sack him early like Nuno. Hopefully if anything, this Europa win will at least make Levy think twice before sacking early in future.

I think he's now, as I expected, getting overrated by Spurs fans based on the Europa win. It was great to win a trophy but there needs to be a lot of context attached which many fans seem to want to push to one side.

I agree it hasn't been this season. Totally failed to juggle Europe with the PL. You could argue that through the Europa win he has shown he's willing to adapt but at the expense of his own attacking philosophy. Is that what we want to see after we already tried it with Jose and Conte?

I might have gone too far in some personal criticism of him as well so I will shut up for now...until next season if he's still with us and we start poorly.

As I said, I do not mind differing opinions, i've never filtered anyone.
I will push back on what i consider to be unjust, uninformed, inaccurate or unpleasant.
For example i dont mind if you think Ange should be sacked. But you are very willing to be selective - Above you make the clear statement that the PL isnt Ange's level, and yet we achieved 5th last season.
Comment's like "im tired of the injury excuse" again, is to completely ignore that relevance of it. You may be tired of it but that doesn't make it an invalid mitigating factor in this season.
If you took your precious Poch team and performed the exercise of taking 5 or 6 key players out for 2 to 3 months and looked at who would be playing and whether the results would be great, you'd probably conclude that we would have done a lot worse. And in his final 24 games Poch managed 7 wins and 25 points, so imagine that series of results being made worse by injuries!
If you think Poch had credit in the bank for coming 2nd and reaching some finals, why doesnt Ange now?

True and as much as he wants to tell us he's a winner and always wins, let's have it right, it could have gone the other way in the final. United were very poor and we were good defensively but there were a couple of scary moments. One of those goes in and it could be different. Ange doesn't have a handle on luck. Better managers than him with better winning records have tried and failed to win stuff. Sometimes things just go for you.

Levy didn't pull the trigger on the manager this time like he normally would have done and now we have a trophy and champion's league qualification at the end of it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
1) I still think he’s a bit of a fraud, clearly out of his depth in the PL
2) The injury excuse is really f*cking tired now.
3) Levy couldn’t find a decent replacement, that’s he only reason he wasn’t fired.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think he's now, as I expected, getting overrated by Spurs fans based on the Europa win. It was great to win a trophy but there needs to be a lot of context attached which many fans seem to want to push to one side.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It’s worse on Facebook/Insta, it’s like a f*cking cult.
I’ll stomach him staying as long as I never have to hear him speak!
I always mute or turn off his interviews.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I still think he's arrogant and I'm unconvinced by him as a PL manager
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Same, I just don’t buy into the persona at all, and ask him a question he doesn’t like and he’s so f*cking brittle.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
True and as much as he wants to tell us he's a winner and always wins, let's have it right, it could have gone the other way in the final. United were very poor and we were good defensively but there were a couple of scary moments. One of those goes in and it could be different. Ange doesn't have a handle on luck. Better managers than him with better winning records have tried and failed to win stuff. Sometimes things just go for you.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That's why Ange is a genius, he called it early saying he always wins things in his second season and he has delivered.
A bit like when I told you guys to stick with the manager months ago but you didn't listen and carried on with the never ending vitriol of Ange.

I think some of the fans on this forum look a bit silly now. Hopefully some of you will reflect on your previous comments but I doubt it!

I think him leaving by mutual consent after the parade is the best scenario

If he was that much of a genius he could win the Europa without ditching the PL for the last part of the season and have us in 17th place.
No manager is guaranteed to win trophies no matter what they say but well done to him on winning it.

He deserves a stay of execution. We just can’t sack a man that’s just won us a European title. The optics of that would absolutely make us an absolute laughing stock.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No offence but did that ship not sail with Maureen's sacking?
FWIW, I think Ange will walk and probably for a better job. Hold fire on your howls until you see what players that £100m CL money gets you. I suspect Pep will go early and Ange will get a shot.

Not quite sure how a new manager could do any worse to be honest but even if he started poorly, you'd still have to give him the time and not sack him early like Nuno. Hopefully if anything, this Europa win will at least make Levy think twice before sacking early in future.

I agree it hasn't been this season. Totally failed to juggle Europe with the PL. You could argue that through the Europa win he has shown he's willing to adapt but at the expense of his own attacking philosophy. Is that what we want to see after we already tried it with Jose and Conte?

2) The amount of injuries we had is a fact. Yet he still won a cup.

1) You think he is a fraud yet has won a trophy that no other spurs manager has been able to do for 17 years.
2) The amount of injuries we had is a fact. Yet he still won a cup.
3) You have just made that up. There is no evidence to this.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Scraping past the worst Utd team in living memory isn’t enough to change my mind . Did you actually watch the game? it was f*cking abysmal, and showed why we’re 16th & 17th in the league.
I’m not doubling down, my opinions just haven’t changed.

That's why Ange is a genius, he called it early saying he always wins things in his second season and he has delivered.
A bit like when I told you guys to stick with the manager months ago but you didn't listen and carried on with the never ending vitriol of Ange.

He’s not a very good manager though, that’s the point.
I think him leaving by mutual consent after the parade is the best scenario

George Graham won a trophy and we binned him off, this really wouldn’t be much different.

If he was that much of a genius he could win the Europa without ditching the PL for the last part of the season and have us in 17th place.
No manager is guaranteed to win trophies no matter what they say but well done to him on winning it.
