First half last night we were comfortable and carried a decent threat without being especially great (Meghoma aside) who tore Cadden a new one leading to him being subbed in first half.

2nd half Rohl admitted himself he wasnt ed to restrict the space available to Hibs and protect the lead a bit and look to counter. Dont think we carried out the attacking side of that well at all, we had plenty of opportunities to break and failed to capitalise.

Most pleasing thing was the we looked far more solid at the back and that kinda panic isnt there anymore. defensively our shape is miles better, still need to improve going forward.

Sets Sunday up nicely, both teams getting a bounce from the new appointments. Could be a really good game.

i think there needs to be more to the brugge boss tbh.

their whole setup behind the scenes is different from what we offer, good luck to anyone who comes in.

Yeah, I agree. I’ve got a worry about taking a manager from a team that have got all the analytics, etc in place in the background.

Rather than individuals it was a team performance, a team set up well for the game, that understood what was being asked of them.

I felt Barron was the best player on the pitch, gave away the pen and deserved to be bailed out by Butland.

Also good to see big Fernandez who came on to shore up for the last few minutes and just headered everything that came his way into orbit. Finally a use for him.

Meghoma was by a mile our biggest attacking threat last night. Barron played very well also.

First 15 a bit scrappy for us but ffs a new manager and system and new players in - gie’s a break!

McGregor was immense. Not his play but his leadership helping everyone through it. Even after the game he was still buzzing going through the match with all the hand actions telling fatty where he could have done better - Pep like. He’ll likely make a batter manager than Broon.

When I read that “link” earlier, immediate thought was why the feck would the Brugge manager be interested in the ‘Tic job?! Managing in a better league, at a FAR better structured club, and competing in the CL. File under pash.

yeah thats what i meant. Dio and Barron do pretty much the same job in the team for us. I think the plan was always to play Dio on Sunday. The prev game against Killie Dio was prob our best midfielder.
