I'm not a fan of the flow on Nasir...it's like its almost spoken word which could've been intentional, however then you'd have to make sure that the production is top notch.

Daytona is my album of the year.

Such a lacklustre effort from Nas man. I haven't even felt the urge to go back to that album.

ye pusha's album was my album of the year until eminem dropped a decent one for the first time in god knows how long.

Wasn't overly fond with Eminen's, but a huge improvement over his usual stuff recently

How have none you guys not alerted me to the production of SonnyJim. He's a british dude. Dude is arguably perfecting that jazz hip hop sound. I mean just take a listen to this beat. Chit is glorious. Arguably the beat of the year. The song actually doesn't even need The Machine to rap...just let the instrumental play.

I had a hard time taking to this album because I literally had Daytona on repeat all day everyday but it's really grown on me the past 2 months. I can actually listen to the whole album apart from 2 songs. It's that good imo. Just some cool rapping over some cool beats.

This song is probably too hard for the current music scene. This the hardest song of 2018 for me. Dude is just angry at everyone on this track. Even Logic catches shots out of nowhere. This is not for the feint hearted. If you like Nas being all grown man and rapping about emotional chit, please stay away from Ankhlejohn. This dude is too aggressive for you.

If you wanna hear a rapper just straight up eat beats on the mic...CRIMEAPPLE is your guy. He's basically what current Em fans think Em is doing on the mic...just with better production. Sonically Em is really lacking. Everybody needs to just say it because it's getting embarrassing for dude.

Basically you can listen to the albums as well because these are the albums I've been listening too a lot. All albums are great in quality...might not be everyone's cup of tea though.

Also Benny The Butcher's 2 albums he dropped. Butcher on Steroids and A Friend of Ours. Two solid albums.

There's also Roc Marciano's album. All worth the listen.

Yeah we've all got different tastes but 4YEO was terrible, I think most would agree

Kids see ghosts was pretty great in my opinion amazing chemistry between Kanye and Cudi.

Honestly was not a great year for mainstream rap tbh.

Lupe dropped his new album as well. I think I should give it a listen.

Apparently the story is about some slaves on a journey somewhere and their boat crashes...but these some Amphibians slaves so they live under water now. Sounds like proper Rap Genius overload stuff.

I'll give Lupe my proper attention only because I thought Tetsuo & Youth was brilliant. Layers upon layers of ideas on that album. His best album imo.

New Brockhampton is quite average by their own standards.

New Wayne and new Gates dropped.
