I didnt think you were able to admit when you were wrong.

I suspect that this is a major reason of why a very high percentage of what you post is just insults of other posters.

When an engineer who has worked with senna, schumacer and vettel, says that vettel is as gifted as senna and more gifted than schmumacer, any one with any sense or anyone who is not in some sort of world of delusion, would simply admit that if they have said that vettel is "rubbish" and not in the top 8 of the current drivers - as you have and as you admit that you have - they were wrong.

You clearly were wrong, and it's to your own detriment that you are not prepared to admit it.

Same applies to the manu guy who also seems to think that his view is more credible than people who have actually worked in F1 with the drivers we are talking about.

I've said on numerous occasions and on this thread, if you have a car that is faster than everyone else, vettel is a great man to have driving your car. If your car is on par with others or worse, he's average to mediocre.

That's my entire post and is what I posted on xigglys article as well. Tell the truth, stop twisting what people say and answer questions you are asked if you want to be taken seriously.

Alonso said he was racing Adrian Newey and nit Vettel. Why do you think he said that. Also Alonso is known for liking a weak team mate, he was opposed to Hamilton joining him at Ferrari but won't mind vettel, why is that?

Murray Walker did not vote Vettel 8th. I have already advised you that making things up is not a sensible technique to use when debating F1 issues. Most of the members know far more than you ever will and you will just succeed in falling flat on your face.

The BBC F1 team conducted a poll and their votes were aggregated to compile the list. Check your facts. Is Murray part of that team? What did he vote?

The respected engineer quote that you use was made in April 2011 after Vettel had won the 2010 WDC. I am sure that with your newly acquired interest in F1 you will now go and check how he won it. You will see that Ferrari wrecked Alonso's chances by making the wrong pit call in the last race of the season”. Vettel never led the 2010 WDC at any stage until after the last race and Alonso was almost guaranteed to win it that year.

You do not appear to understand what is meant by the word “Newey” when people reply to your article. Newey is in fact the designer of the car and not a type of aero upgrade. But I can see how you are easily confused. You probably thought the the team puts a newey on the car or something.

Hamilton, Alonso and Kimi are the top drivers. Vettel is on the same level as Button, Massa, Webber and Rosberg. That makes up the top 8. Hamilton has already pointed out that Vettel makes many mistakes on each race lap but can get away with them because of the sheer speed superiority of that Newey designed car.

Oh and I will now let you off the hook regarding your claim that Hamilton contrived to throw away 2008 WDC. It was clear to everyone that you do not know what you are talking about and could never produce a sensible explanation no matter how many times you were asked. Similar really to that member that blamed Lewis Hamilton's father's presence, at a race meeting he did not attend, for twittergate. It wasn't you by any chance was it. you really do need to look at the overall wider picture of vettels intelligence racecraft and pace manx to fully understand why georgio ascanelli rates him so highly ,

to say he only wins when he has the best car is clearly not true because the red bull has not allways on a race by race basis if you examine the last 3 seasons on a race by race basis been the most competitive car every race , yet vettel has consistantly pulled strong results out of the bag and is on course for his 3rd WDC in 3 seasons -

the bottom line is bud , that georgio ascanelli has been in F1 since 1985 ( think it was 85 ) has been an engineer / chief engineer at benettone , ferrari , mclaren , toro rosso, , has worked very closely with vettel schumacher , berger , senna , and others ,

So far, the only evidence he hasprovided to suport this claim is a quote from jackie stewart saying that vettel isnt yet an all time great, and now this interview with villeneuve, in which he says (amongst other things) :

"Seb is super quick"

"let's be clear, Sebastian is an ace too"

"He looks almost unbeatable when he leads"

"I'm not changing my mind: Alonso deserves the 2012 title more."


In other words, this ex driver rates vettel very highly byt (like the wums on this board) refuses to change his mind about him being the best. Yet ManWUM concludes that this means that he hdoesnt "rate vettel at all"

Ya I think that Vettel has now done enough to prove that he will in the future be remembered amongst the legends of formula one, and scariest thing is that you just cannot imagine him not adding to his titles over the coming years.
