Good writing, a main character that's original, great action that is directed well, several new planets and locations, some surprising and well placed cameos, a memorable theme song, a nice blend of grit,realism and SW magic,a villain that carries a threat and has stakes and to top it all off, a finale that delivers across the board.

Overhyped? I would claim any hype is warranted.

Felt like half the shows were just little missions for filler to me. I enjoyed it but don't understand why it gets so hyped up personally.

Even the filler episodes explored different parts of SW that we rarely see and more importantly, it developed Mando as a character and his bond with Grogu. The finale of Luke appearing and Mando giving him Grogu carries so much weight, because of those past missions.

For example, the episode when Mando helps the Tuskens kill the sand dragon.

It doesn't further the overall plot but we get to see a side of the tuskens and their culture that we've never seen. We also get to see how a small town in tattooine reacted to the empire falling. It's these moments that expand the lore and SW universe and it's all done through a new and fresh set of eyes. Mando isn't tied to the prequels or originals, he's just a guy trying to find his place in the galaxy.

Let's not forget, Mando season 2 was the first time we saw several notable characters in live action for the first time.

Ahsoka
Boba after ROTJ
Bo Katan
Luke after ROTJ
Mandalorians

I found the beginning and ending of Ahsoka a bit underwhelming (the start especially), but overall it was probably the most consistent level of fun I've had watching a Star Wars series so far.

I've found the show to be entertaining and intriguing at times but largely slow. It was obvious from quite early that this was a set up season, so it removes any real significance.

Yeah that's fair, but at least it was more consistent. It took me a while to get into Andor, whereas with the Rebels backstory there was more interesting stuff in the build up for me. Mando is obviously great but there's still the odd episodes where whatever mission they're on is entirely inconsequential to the story and you're just watching random stuff happen.

Though I like very much the character endings as there are loads I want to see next season, and lots and lots of questions were raised

Ahsoka episode 8 time

Episode 8 = 7/10

I liked parts of the finale but other parts left me shaking my head. I am curious to see where they go with Baylon too. Spoiler talk should be interesting.

I’m still sitting in the fence of whether to change my rating… but save for spoilers.
I just got this thing nagging at me.. it’s about Filoni.
Now It’s all said and done.. but I got questions..

I was disappointed with Thrawn and how they handled the action and writing in episode 8.

Does feel, that the proverbial ball has been dropped.
These lot ain’t ready for a film? Especially Filoni.
He’ll get there, and maybe we have to brace ourselves for whatever film he produces.
Just hope he learns from it… can still see the animated guy in him.
It’s like, no Dave, that works in animation, not live action.
