The problem with hiding his identity is that we begin to create our own image of a terrorist and we soon lose sight of the fact they are British born and bred whose families have come here for freedom.
It is, imo, important to highlight the fact these evil caaants grew up here not some war torn hell hole. It is important to show these scuumbags have the same hobbies as us. It is important to highlight how we (And the Muslim community especially) need to 'spot the signs' of people becoming radicalized.

Too many times alot of people 'generalize' too easily and don't try to think clearer. Each terrorist is an individual who follow a sadistic wrong set of ideals and wish to bring terror to all the innocents due to the twisted mind sets of the despicable worthless human beings. Too many times the terrorists are labelled as 'foreign' when many a times it is happens to be home grown. They may have similar hobbies as the ordinary folk but then have become disillusioned and segregated from normal society and then fall into the twisted evil world of radicalisation.

That's what I thought. They must have some idea of the network that the attacker was a part of.

They should release his name but make up loads of facts about him, the Sun could help out with that.

Military being brought in to support the police

The identity needs to be revealed because other people are bound to be involved. The net is probably already closing in on them and they will be getting desperate. That's why threat level has been raised to critical.

We need to know what are neighbours are about and information revealed on a 'need to know basis'. Now people will be out there with vital details to pass on to police that could help catch these vermin.

I'm hoping that it's been raised to Critical as more of a message to potential terrorists that we are on high alert rather than an actual attack being imminent.

I know it's easy to say from my home town in north Wales but I'll try and get on with my life as best as I can without worrying about terrorism too much.

Having said that I hope that everyone on here who live in cities and the more obvious targets stay safe.

That Olive branch!! reminds me of a joke when I see a bunch of grapes. Pretty old though.


3 hunters in the rainforest suddenly wake up in the hands of an ancient tribe. They have them tied up to a tree and are circled worshipping them from all directions.

After a few minutes of chanting, the tribe make way for the approaching chief.


He orders the first hunter to be untied whilst sending off one of his tribe deep into the jungle.

After a while, the tribesman returns to the chief with a bunch of grapes.

The chief holds up the grapes and demands an answer from hunter #1:

"Death or Bongo?"

Thinking to himself "what's the worst that can happen with grapes?" He boldly declares:

"By process of elimination, I will choose Bongo"

So the chief hands down the grapes and the hunter is forced to stuff each one up his arris.

Once complete he is freed into the rainforest.

Hunter number 2 is summoned and a tribeslady is sent to retrieve fruit. .

"Death or Bongo" he asks.

Well I do get to live, and who will know back home thinks the hunter. plus if the other dude did it....

"Bongo" he announces.

The tribe cheer, as the fruit gatherer emerges with kiwi fruits

Although larger,and having a furry skin that really creates a certain inertia, he gets through them surprisingly easy.

Another tribesman is sent for fruit and is just appearing on the horizon with coconuts when the third hunter is asked Death or Bongo.

Realising his imminent punishment he declares, with a stiff upper lip, "I'll take death you monsters!!!!"

The tribe rise and cheer as the chief bellows out:


"Death!!!!!!!!!!!!........Death by Bongo!!!!!!!"

An attack *may* be imminent. That's actually a bit different from saying an attack *is* imminent.

I have to say, i'm still somewhat surprised that there hasn't been a football match that has been an actual 'successful' target yet. It's not to say that they haven't thought about doing this. We really need to tighten up security at matches also. And not have 'stewards' like the one that got sacked at the WHL.
