the trott/bell stand was actually bigger than the dohni/kohli stand.
you dont see 350/4 in the 4th innings very often.

You do see it in the 3rd innings occasionally though
The back slapping chest beaters are out in force at present......
To the usual every day lads that comment win, lose or draw....congratulations on a great England performance..
To the rest of you pelicans that can only manage your 2-bob's worth when England are winning....sit on it...
Well done to Bears lads, Trott & Bell, for an outstanding performance at the crease today; and hearty congrats to the England team & staff for a solid all-round performance. Long may it continue (more so without Broad).

So what? we can back slap and chest beat as we want. This is , after all, an ENGLAND article set up on the ENGLAND team's own message board.
So you wouldn't be back-slapping and chest beating if it was an Aussie win would you rabbit? If not you are the first Aussie i heard of who didn't make a big deal of a series win!!
Good to see the England fans be so diplomatic in a great achievement. Had India won this series we would have been flooded with born again Indians

well done lads...job well done...butts kicked...names taken
Congratulations to England and the fans. Cook and co achieved which has been enigma for all other teams. Brilliant at beating Indians at their own game.
For India, more pain to follow. They will struggle overseas for the next 3-5 years. Not easy to fill the void left by Dravid, Laxman and Tendulkar. IPL is also a catalyst. Too much money at the club level. Much like EPL and the national team.
Good win by England.. Just a side note.. I found Sehwags laughing through most of the days play shocking.. If he was playing for my team. He'd be out the door..
delighted with the win, bring on the aussies!
Yes Sehwag dropped a hatful of chances and was pretty average with the bat wasn't he? If i was him I'd be a bit more careful on what my body language was suggesting out there

Think Sehwag knows its his last test.

exactly
personally i think the other comment's a bit harsh though. he's give a lot to the game tbf
Great effort by England today and ever since the first test, really satisfying seeing them come back from such a comprehensive loss and go on to dominate.
Most of the team have performed at some point but special mention to Monty, Swann, Jimmy, KP, Prior and Cook. All of them played really well and I can't argue with Cook being named man of the series although if Monty had been named in the first match he might have pushed him. the only disappointments for me were Broad and Bresnan who both struggled to make any kind of impact.
India are about to go through a major rebuild and i wish them luck, to have so many world class players leave the side through retirement or because they have totally lost form is hard. I don't know enough about Indian domestic cricket to know how long the rebuild will take but I can see that the IPL is not helping to bring on new test players, especially in the bowling department.
Fair play to every one on here for making it a fun series
