He's a left-sided attacking midfielder apparently. Although Gremio want £36m for him, which, unless we are going to do in staggered payments for the next 5 years, I do not see happening for us.

Buy Fekir for £30M. That way, you find someone who has a good link with Laca and you stop him moving to Betis which then would stop Spurs getting their midfield.
One stone, two birds.

How much difference do we think this is going to make?

I'm not saying we shouldn't complain to the club and express our dissatisfaction, but what are we expecting the outcome to be from this? Fans have done this before and we just got the usual corporate BS in return.

Morning chap.

Still in negotiations we understand. I think it’ll get over the line this week now.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

You talking about Tierney?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Of course

Yeah, have to admit the Fekir to Betis move seems a bizarre one. They finished 10th last season. Would be a step down.

I don't know why we're not in for him if the likes of Betis can capture his signature.

Like I've said before, this club has let me down way too many times to get optimistic about any transfer.

Hell, we were told Saliba was close to joining Arsenal for weeks and then Spurs swoop in to hijack the deal at the last second.

I wouldn't be one bit surprised if he is still a Celtic player come the start of the season.

There’s sounds of resignation around our club now that the figure of £25m has been hit bits all about the instalments and we believe that’ll be fixed soon.

As sad as we’ll be to see him leave it’s best for him to progress.

Everton Soares. Is it genuine? Very similar to Hazard.

Brilliant at dribbling but end product is questionable. Hazard end product is obviously far better. Still if we can develop that part of his game.

Feel this could be agent generated to get him a move to somewhere else in Europe but would be great if it was genuine.

a lot of it is cause no one is sure how sanllehi works. he does a lot in secret. and journos are in the dark as much as us. so not surprised by the impatience.

What I don't get is how conflicted they are. Do they want interfering ownership or not?

Gervinho never had the talent. Have always felt Iwobi was more suited to playing like Ramsey. I think your point would be more suited to someone like Hleb.

And I get it. We do have different coaching now. I think the closest player applicable to Everton would be someone like Juninho.

I suppose we have started to mirror what Sanllehi did at Barca. Recruiting on the basis of skill at all levels and creating an ethos in the system. Managers are not so important when that happens. I wouldn't mind having that Cruyff revolution that they did 3 decades ago.

I'd argue that Gervinho had the talent to dribble past the player. Probably the last "taker" we had. But it was his end product which let him dowm.. a lot.
Iwobi has been coached by the current manager for a season now and I genuily can't see any improvement.

Iwobi . Wish he would feck off out of the club. Completely average. Gervinho had great talent
