Are we a laughing stock? I think everybody can see he was the wrong choice for captain. It's the huge contract that's embarrassing.
Players will mostly always try, but if they're unmotivated and don't believe in the project their heads will drop naturally. Haven't seen any of that with our players.
I am not for minute saying the players are not trying their best for Arsenal and have stopped responding to Arteta.
My point is very simple. When big clubs come for your players, and you want to keep them at the club, one of the biggest selling points is how you protect their image. Players earn millions from that. Wenger never made disciplinary actions public. Do you even understand why most clubs do that? Have you heard any other club publicly embarrassing their player?
Protect your image by not being a bellpiece? There's plenty of instances of players behaving badly and being outed for it, sounds like we've given Auba plenty of chances to meet the standards required.
I also think lack of discipline was a big problem under Wenger
Maybe you have never met a net worth individual.
I've met quite a few footballers
And were any of them not high on their 'self worth'.
(Politely saying not ego maniacs.)
A lot of them were when they were up and coming so those guys are probably irrelevant but of the others some come across really polished and some like they don't care at all

Funnily enough every footballer I’ve met have come across as really decent humble guys. I met Freddie in a club when he was playing (injured) for West Ham and he was one of the nicest guys ever. Bought me a drink and even chatted to me briefly about why he left Arsenal and how much he missed it. I also met Defoe, Aaron Lennon and SWP in Game and Defoe bought me a headset for my PS3 even though I bantered him for playing for Spurs (he was a Portsmouth player at the time).
