So Xavi couldn't hack the politics, and they think Arteta will want in?

Arsenal are leading the race for 15-year-old Aberdeen defender Lewis Carrol

We will all be in Wonderland if they pull this off.

Luton will be livid about this.

Mad, even.

Why would Arteta leave Arsenal at this point, to go to that utter shambles?

Our apparent short-list for a new striker this summer is Benjamin Sesko, Viktor Gyokeres, and Evan Ferguson.

Do you think we should be looking at 2 forward players or would a CF free up Jesus to be a rotation option with Saka and Marti out wide too?

Apparently we're interested in Nico Williams too.

A bit too early for short lists tbh. Why do you think Arsenal will allow that info to get out with Chelsea lurking? I am sure they are talking to a lot of agents they have no intention to follow up on.

No doubt there will be a bit of smoke and mirrors going on, J99.

I'm just saying this is what I heard. No idea whether there's any substance to it. And even if there is, there's no guarantee targets now will still be targets this summer.

Victor is the only one in that list I remotely think Arsenal have any interest in. The other two are too risky for the sort of money their clubs are demanding. Arsenal can spend a lot, but not on untried players, as we saw with Mudryk.

I'd say Ferguson is the least risky of the three tbh.

And remember how many people thought spending so much on Ben White was a mistake...

Ferguson has been pretty disappointing for the hype tbh. And Tony Bloom is a cvnt to negotiate with. I don't think we want to get involved in getting hosed like Chelsea and Liverpool almost did.
