Quite a few upsets already I see, with big names like Higgins, Williams, Allen and Maguire already out. I guess a few betting slips will be in the bin...........

Never liked Maguire so glad he's out.

Need to check the scores had a late night yesterday.

Ding was on good form. Bit disappointed Macguire lost I wanted him to get far this year but fair play to Poomjaeng.
Just noticed Neil Folds is now a commentator on Eurosports :O he used to be on BBC.

I prefer BBC commentators because they seem to proper get involved in the action like John Virgo and Dennis Taylor for example.

Credit to Milkins to go in only 5-4 behind at the interval

Evening folks,

What's been the story of the day so far then?

Gotta love Poomjaeng.

Entertaining player! Glad he won just for his entertaining theatrics.

Selt has hardly potted anything since he won his 4th frame

Full second round schedule now up on the thread.

Just seen Poomjaeng's antics from yesterday. He's odd, but another character the game possibly needs.

World number one is through, 10-4 he beats Selt. Plays Barry Hawkins in the next round starting on Friday.

Bingham leading 4-0 in his match, can he be the first player to do a whitewash?

Selby has what it takes to reach the final. Said that prior to the tournament. Maybe not the most exciting player on the circuit but can't deny his form at the moment.
