On the flip side Shaun Murphy isn't.
Just caught the last frame of the Lisowski Hawkins game. Lisowski potted some amazing balls to nick the final frame, but I get the feeling that a bit more tactical nous from Hawkins has earnt him the lead. I think Lisowksi will soon learn like Trump that he'll have to tighten up his game a bit, but it makes for an entertaining match.
You in for the evening session kinsang?
Ronnie match concludes tonight and it's the first session of the match between Williams and White. Start at 19:00.
Mark Selby starts on Tuesday
Be there
Alright guys
Could have told me about this earlier RKW. Good to see some others about as well as a couple of others from your old thread as well.
Anyone got Williams v White on? Look at how the balls are situated at the moment in this frame...
Gonna watch it after The Cube.
It'll be interesting to see how this session of the Mark Williams v Michael White match pans out.
Have you been watching much of it John? Not really caught a lot myself.
O'Sullivan's opponent
"I just wish the crowd would appreciate others players sometimes. I played one shot, where I bent the green round the blue with check-side off the bottom cushion and landed absolutely perfect on the brown and I got a ripple of applause. if he'd have played it, it would have brought the house down."
,
Wish he'd off closed the quote with, '....and of course he'd of claimed it was a terrible shot which further proved he's lost his passion for the game and will consider retirement tomorrow'
Michael White lead 4-1, Williams fought back to 4-4 but White took the final frame of the session to lead 5-4 going in to tomorrow afternoon's final session.
Hi RKW - didn't really see much today, but it seems like Williams has got a match on his hands. Perhaps the first upset is on the cards....
We'll see tomorrow.
Morning folks.
Won't catch this morning's session although I expect Walden to wrap his match up within an hour and Dott v Ebdon is the match of the first round I want to AVOID.
Don't think I'll be missing much!
Predictions for day two?
I'll be hoping for a Lisowski comeback, but Hawkins might just have a bit too much knowhow for him - however, if Lisowski can keep it close, then Hawkins might start to feel the pressure on him.
Although I see Dott has opened up a 2-0 lead. Won't see much because of other sports today.
Sorry RKW, only seen your post now as I went out when the session finished.
Yeah, I watched the 9 frames, MJW was slow out of the blocks while Michael White wasn't, nearly became only the 2nd player ever to knock in a ton in his first frame at the Crucible.
I'd say both players will take 5-4. Today's session is going to be seriously tense. Could even end up 10-9 either way. I'd like to see MJW prevail & keep as many heavy hitters in the tournament.
Enjoy!
I'm going to go with a 10-8 win for Mark Williams Dott hopefully to have a 6-3 lead. Shaun Murphy to win 10-9 Higgins to lead 5-4 and Hawkins to win 10-6
I doubt Peter Ebdon & Graeme Dott will get their 9 frames in, this year.
What have I missed so far then?
MJW v Michael White is good RKW. Huge 12th frame currently in progress.
Michael knocked in a 65 leaving MJW 31 behind on the yellow, he's now 23pts behind with the yellow still on the table.
Williams has got a lot of work to do if he's to turn this one around.
