Incidently, the USA is not my final stop, i will be living in South America, South East Asia and likely Australia before my time is up.
As someone with a drop of patriotism in his entire body I can't offer an emotional response, I can however assure you that your comments were objectively rubbish too.
You cannot possibly claim to understand how safe somewhere is without using statistics because it varies too much. Your comments are the equivalent of the posh kid on Glasgow's most expensive street claiming the city is paradise.
As everywhere...some bits are good and some bits are bad and claiming all of one place is one thing or another makes you sound ridiculous.
That should obviously read "without a drop of patriotism..."
Completely agree ulf.
Hence when people began suggesting that the USA is a death trap for anybody with its crime ridden, drug ridden streets I respond.
I do admit that my initial comment was indeed way too extreme, but it wasn't meant as literal.
The reality is that there is little between the countries.
Not getting defensive at all, more getting offensive I hope.
the scúmbags infesting British streets in recent years
the well known issues currently being dealt with in the UK with shameful attacks on many people in the streets and yobs on every corner causing mayhem
Yes that's slagging off the country you pretend to love and yes its complete garbage. But its consistent with your comments on here about football. Pretending to be an expert when behind your inflated ego you really don't know much at all. Given that you spend about 10 hours a day on here 7 days a week as part of your 'living a better life in the USA' I guess you don't have the faintest idea whats going on at the corner of your street
Considering I know little of football it seems I was right regarding sako and Doyle.
It was obvious that Doyle would get benched if he didn't start scoring and we absolutely should have snapped off forests arm when they came for sako.......you seemed to disagree with both those suggestions.
As I said above, my comments were not literal.
And it is worth noting that I haven't got abusive here, but you have time and again.
Yeah, sorry Cinci, you definitely started this one.
Trouble is yours may not have been meant as literal...but then you took everybody's exaggerated responses as literal when I'm sure they were just as exaggerated as yours.
Oi Cinci!
What were you right about with regards to Doyle and Sako? When they were regulars in the team we were top and nine points clear of third, now we are clinging on to third. So what benefits has leaving them out brought to us?
Don't answer that I don't want a football debate with you.

DJ, my initial comment was very straight forward
24 hours later:
I do admit that my initial comment was indeed way too extreme, but it wasn't meant as literal.
As I have said many times it is clear on a daily basis your sole motivation for coming on here is to create and prolong arguments.
I don't believe anyone who comes over here for a vacation for a week or two would consider gong to places that they may feel fearful of. Most visitors go to popular venues and wouldn't necessarily go to bars and such like.
gb, you can put up as many stats as you like, but most of the murders over here (like I said before) are crimes of passion and street gang, (drug) related. Most cops over here don't do much investigation into the later of those two.
DJ, you know exactly the people I'm referring to in my previous comment. I guess you're trying to provoke a different kind of debate. Statistics back up my comment and having been in those areas, I do know what I'm talking about.
Maybe ulf, unfortunately when myself and Wolfie are constantly ridiculed for living overseas it is sometimes a natural reaction.
That doesn't excuse the abuse though, maybe just victims of broken Britain
Only just started leaving them out DJ, they were in the side when the bad run started.
Also it sounds as though performances are improving.
As for the not wanting to debate football comment..........i think that sums up the situation you have created, I have no problem discussing football with you. You have a direct problem with me, it is noticeable that a few other posters have made comments similar to mine about players and you never jump on them.

I have been to the USA a number of times for holidays and love visiting there. But I wouldn't and haven't chosen to live there.
If you read hatred of USA into my comments then without doubt you will be able to read hatred of the UK into cinci's comments I guess, but he isn't on the list of people you argue with is he.
----------------------------------------
At no time as cinci ever said he hated the UK, quite the opposite in fact.
But your remark above just emphasizes that you are the one who loves to argue the toss. You are also the one who continues with the insults, just to get your point across and finally, you are the one that goes onto other websites (your own admission, by the way), trawls all the sites and comes back on here. And you accuse others of spending too much time on here? If that's not hypocrisy, then I'm a Dutchman.
DJ, I've tried and have been telling you for longer than I can remember that Doyle is not suited to a 4-4-2 system. I also wanted him dropped a while back for not doing what he should be doing and that is SCORING GOALS.
You sprang to his defence and spouted off about how he holds up play and brings other players into the game. That's not the job of a striker. Thankfully KJ has finally recognized it and he's dropped him. We've also said that we seem to play better when Sako doesn't start. So where are we wrong in the assessments of both players? You can continue to bury your head in the sand and carry on defending these players, but at some point you'll have to change your opinion about them. Doubt whether you can do that tho'
Granted we were winning, but the performances (according to many on 'ere including you) were not very good. We seem to be playing better now and let's just hope that we can continue to do better in the second half of the season.
Maybe, just maybe, we can loan out a few players as I don't see any solid bids coming in for any of our players. Very unfortunate.
John de wolfieinasunshinestate
Noticed a lot of comments regarding Doyle playing behind the strikers on mm tother day.
Would have been my preference.
I think we need 2 strikers and if Doyle plays behind those two, who do we leave out in midfield. Sorry mate, but I believe Doyle is a spent force at our club and hope someone comes in for him, albeit a loan move.
Maybe Cinci but, like I say, the comments clearly show you kicking us off on this occasion.
Trouble is, if it were a less combative atmosphere on here probably nobody would have batted an eyelid at either your comment or any that followed. Trouble is, everything either is a dig or looks like a dig and it is very difficult to escape that mentality.
Not from me Cinci...I bl()()dy love the US (New York anyway, not spent much time elsewhere). That said, I think it is absolutely impossible to claim to love or hate a country that large without having lived (not visited) lots and lots and lots of different places and even then it is still totally impossible because you might have had a bad time in Cleveland for personal reasons or had a dream of a time in Detroit because you happened to be in a great neighbourhood etc. Impossible.
It would be like a yank saying he hates Europe because he doesn't like goulash or bitter, it rains all the time, the music is garbage and all the Italians he met were rude.
Its usually the french
Agree regarding this site, the battle lines are well and truly drawn sadly. As i have said often, j don't have a problem with a put down here or there, its the disguised digs, and often not disguised digs that cause the biggest problems and they are a deliberate attempt to derail threads.
Deja in his many guises would spend the day just making the site look stupid, but as some had a common enemy they would just ignore it.
I dont throw many insults anyway, but do get drawn in on occasion, as of yesterday you won't find another insult from me, so we will see how others manage.
DJ, you know exactly the people I'm referring to in my previous comment.
I don't know what you are talking about wolfie which is why I asked so enlighten me.
Regarding Doyle as I said we were 9 points clear of third at the end of November and now are clinging on to third. We have won 2 of our last 9 games so if that's improvement in your weird mind then great.
If you are under the impression that our recent performances against Crewe, Gillingham, Rotherham and Tranmere were an improvement on when we were top then you are indeed a Dutchman
. Our unbeaten run of one game is however going great.
--------------------
Maybe ulf, unfortunately when myself and Wolfie are constantly ridiculed for living overseas it is sometimes a natural reaction
You are not ridiculed for living abroad cinci you are ridiculed for writing what some people including me consider to be rubbish as you seem to agree with yourself 24 hours later, But you succeed in generating arguments with a good many people on here despite trying to portray me as the one person you have a problem with, and as I said creating arguments and prolonging them is what motivates you to spend so much time on here
DJ, i don't consider you as a problem.
I would put bute far ahead of you in that category, he stirs it up deliberately on an almost daily basis.
You keep saying I talk utter rubbish, please enlighten me as to something football related where i have indeed talked utter rubbish...........disagreeing with you does not count, it is called opinion.
By the way, i know you love to portray me as the catalyst, I would love to hear your views on why i had three weeks off and the rows didn't slow down one bit?
Yes the rows slowed down to pretty well zero cinci when you were away so don't kid yourself

There you go, Cinci. Bringing me into the argument, for absolutely no reason. I wonder if you just can't control yourself!
I have been observing the thread, and have noted antagonistic remarks from you, regarding the UK, and shake my head, as I'm constantly being accused by you of being antagonistic, and that's simply for saying things like "McCarthy's done well", or anything positive about Edwards, Elokobi, or players that are out on loan. How the heck can any such comments be viewed as "antagonistic"?
