Now can you show me anywhere that states he is on £150k per week?

Falcao certainly wouldn't be happy to be a backup and let's be fair he us better than benzema
---------------------------------------------------------------
But he wasn't his choice not to go to Madrid though was it? He wanted the deal, tweeted about it but they pulled out.

Why didnt Real Madrid want him anymore?
------------------------
Probably because they are well stocked in attacking areas

Why is he happy to go to a team without Champs lge again?
----------------------
Probably because it's Manchester United

I never stated that he was on £150k - the OP did

You, me, or any of the other "legal professionals" on this board know jack shít about his or any other players' contracts. OK, he may have taken a pay cut but how do you know what he was on before? He may have taken a £1k per week pay cut, he may have taken a £100k per week pay cut. My point is that none of us know.

Falcao - he'll only be replacing another top class striker and doesn't solve the lack of balance or quality in United's squad

Remy - back up

Balotelli - exceptional talent, might have one great season where he's on 'good behaviour' but will probably go t!ts up after that

Welbeck - young, hungry and part of an English core so he is the clear winner.

posted on 5/9/14

Hang on

Costa was 32m for 5 years

But Falcao was 20m for 1 year

So you assume costa is playing for free

Why do you include wages for one player but not the other

Iv never seen wages included in a fee soo much until we signed RF

Yeah I know. Did you not read my comment? I said Ancelotti wanted a backup to benzema, something falcao certainly would not be.

Also yes falcao is a very minor risk due to the money paid. However every big transfer is a risk. Costa has had a few injuries. Di Maria or Sanchez could go out next week and break their leg etc etc. you have to take a risk at times but what a player we have on our hands. Could be one of our all time greatest forwards if he performs like he has been and if he stats with us for the next few years. I for one am buzzing that he is playing for us and I know EVERY other premier league fan would want him at their club

Well the only reason i dont care about Falcao goin to United is us getting both Costa and Remy in the same window. A proven Champions League level striker and a Premier League proven back up.

posted on 5/9/14

The way Liverpool do their contracts now are performance based. As has been said before, it has been well documented that Balotelli took a hefty pay cut to join us. I assume that will be just his basic pay though. With the undoubted performance multipliers, he will probably be on well over £100k/week if he hits his targets. Just like a salesman/woman really.

As for the best striker. On paper it is Falcao, but the best striker will be the one who contributes more to the team he plays for (obviously).

Taking that in to consideration, it will probably be Remy at the top of that list. Chelsea just have a better team/squad than the others, so Remy should thrive on that.

Why do you lot give a feck about wages?
The OP is asking who got the better striker.

thank you! Ridiculous that everyone gets caught up on things that really don't matter.

From what I've heard, Balotelli is great in the dressing room and is liked by his team mates. You would actually find it hard for anyone who's played with him to say a bad word about him.

His managers on the other hand.....

posted on 5/9/14

Wages have only been factored into their argument because of the amount he is on. They conveniently forget Monaco are paying at least a third of his wages still as well

Yeah i did, and your implying that Falcao turned Madrid down because he didn't want to be backup to Benzema but that wasn't the case, it was the other way round.

Out of those strikers, Has to be United... If Costa was included I would say us purely because he's earning £140k less than Falcao per week and also we paid £32m for 5 years while use lot will be paying £20m (Loan fees and salary) for one year.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

right so let me get this right,

we paid 20 million for Falcao including wages for one year, but Costa is playing for free for you guys??

or are you only including the wages in Falcaos fee and not costa's because it suits your agenda more

It is only really Mancini that had a problem with him. Mourinho likes him, says he is mad, but likes him. The only reason he left AC is because they are skint and he earned too much. Plus he probably nicked one or two of Berlusconi's girls

R TARDS, Welbeck was sold for 41 million.
I saw the contract.

Let me get this right

Utd believe they got the best deal in getting Falcao.

Chelsea believe they got the best deal,as Costa has already bagged 4 goals

Liverpool believe they got the best deal as Balo took a pay cut.

And everyone agrees that out of the 4, Welbeck is the least rated

In essence everyone's opinion seems to be biased

So the only way to judge will be based on performances, at this point in time its only opinions

Well, the OP spoke about wages in the article and then at the end said 'who got the best deal' so wages do come into this.

It was a pointless inclusion, considering that nobody knows.
