Oh and where an earth do you get 20m from. Did you decide to just pluck that figure out of thin air to suit your argument?

There are 2 versions of the Falcao loan fee. The one clearly being pushed by Utd £6m and the one clearly being pushed by Monaco £11-12m. The lowest I have seen his wages mentioned is Utd paying £190,000 a week and the highest £280,000 a week. So I would guess the total value of the loan falls somewhere between £16m and £27m for the season.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
BBC say £6m and re wages:
"The player will earn approximately £265,000-a-week, while it is not thought Monaco are paying part of his wages"
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/29011493
If the BBC aren't sure of a fee they always put "transfer completed for a fee rumoured/thought to be £XXm"

But this is the whole point, why are wages being added to Falcao's deal but not any other player?
Also, people are working the wages out on 52 weeks a year, realistically the end of the season is 37 weeks away. At £190k a week, that makes a big difference
So... 9 months x 4 weeks = 36 x 265,000 = £9,540,000 + £6,000,000 = £15,540,000
well the money talk is all very tedious

Or you could go with the £190k reported by others & end up under £13m. Obviously this doesn't fit in with what others want to believe. It's clearly in the wording "SEASON long loan"

I do not care about the money TBH, that's Ed & the Glazers problem. I Falcao gets us in the top 4 it's worth every penny. It just annoys me when people/newspapers bump up the figure as much as possible to make it seem worse.
United bought the beat striker.
Chelsea got the best deal.

I forgot it wasn't 52 weeks. That was my mistake. Though a few journalists have mentioned they have received conflicting briefings from Utd/Monaco/Mendes on the loan fee.
And wages should be considered with transfer fees more often than they are. They are too often neglected. I guess because a 1 year loan salary is a definite commitment in the way that long term contracts are not any more. Plus if the loan doesn't turn into a permanent deal, wages are more of a sunk cost than they are in a transfer.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I don't disagree with your points, but why is it so important to some people (not you of course) to state the wages for a Man Utd loan deal?
There appeared to be more loan deals than ever before this year, but I haven't heard much about anyone elses wages.
On the subject of the loan system i am somewhat impressed how Chelsea have yet again creatively abused it to our advantage again this summer.

Think you are being a bit precious with this wages thing...it seems to be the thing to do in the media now if a high profile player comes on a loan as they cant attach a price tag to them. Check out articles on the other 3 from the past week im sure they will state how much they were bought for..this is just the media's way of doing this for a loan...some people just follow what they read!

No idea. Probably because Falcao is most likely now the best paid player in the league while being on loan, which seems a bit weird.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think you'll find that is Rooney on £300k a week

Rooney is probably still the highest paid player in that squad though surely
I don't know if all Man U fans are idiots or they are simply shying away from the truth. But the main reason wages are being added is that there's no residual value to Falcao.
