The Gypsy King!

Legend! What a fight!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
👍👍👍 feel like towel could’ve gone in a bit sooner, brutal contest.

Must’ve been a tough one for peks; who to support 🤷‍♂️

Yep

Was probably hoping that Wilder knocked the gypsy out of the otherwise soundly homophobic and misogynistic Fury, before suffering a heavy defeat.

So it wasn't just words he was trying to ban he doesn't want teachers criticing the Tory Party? nothing authoritarian about this MP at all!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Wonderful demonstration of white privilege right there.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
On here people have a few times in recent weeks referred to the EU as just another attempt at German expansionism.

But it seems to me like our government act more like pre ww1/2 German than any other European state...
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The Germany thing is when you know you're dealing with some QAnon level of stupidity. There's conspiracy theories I'd forgive someone for believing but this isn't one of them.

Ermm.. Insulate Britain Liam says he doesn't care about insulation on talk radio. 🤷‍♂️

https://www.standard.co.uk/news/uk/insulate-britain-protests-hypocrite-not-insulating-home-b959664.html
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Sounds to me like he's being flippant.

I've tried to find the full interview but all I find is a load of right wing publications who stop the interview at that point.

Sounds more to me like he's just saying what they want to hear, I'd like to see the whole interview tbh
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You could be right. Still, I think IB need someone with a bit more media nous than Liam.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Agree completely.

And as I suspected, it's just a headline with no substance, more of the mass media attack on the protests and their aim.

He's being deliberately flippant because the two interviews spend 15 minutes being rude to him, discussing subjects (such as the ww2 comments, again out of context) that they had agreed NOT to discuss, undermining the argument by talking about one of the members of IU not having a job for 20 years, and building up straw-man arguments by asking him how much the plans will cost and how they will pay for it.

The presumably fairly wealthy presenter also has the gall to compare his own home to that of working class Liam, who by his own admission on the interview (and as I was posting following the gmb interview) can't afford to Insulate his home, much less buy a nice new build and stick an insulated extension on like the presenter.

The fact it makes him a "hypocrite" is laughable, it's just showing how inequality is exacerbating the situation and landing tens of millions in fuel poverty

Liam is a shiiiiiitty PR person I agree, but it was also a fackin stupid, economically illiterate, hypocritical, culturally blind, hatchet job interview, led by a man hopelessly out of touch with the working class.

A bloke actually calls in and says as much when the interview ends, pointing out how ridiculous it is, to expect him to know how much it's going to cost to insulate all the different types of home we have the length and breadth of the UK, built at different times, with different levels of insulation/glazing.

And all these right wing rags are running with is the absurdity that he doesn't careand they get away with it because people just re-share their sharticles, because the headlines confirm their biases.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Shame the interviewer didn't knock him out.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Oh look, wishing Injury on people you disagree with again

Sure, they are responsible for the paralysis, and not the chronic lack of first responders nationally due to Tory privatisation. To the point we have had to get the army in, and people have to try and drive their OWN loved ones to the hospital for time critical care.

Far more convenient to blame the people protesting inaction on climate change, than the root cause of the issue.

Germany is top dog in the EU and quite like their role.

That is how it is and not conspiracy.

The Greeks know.

Originally, the EEC was made up of 6 nations, primarily for trade, and now it has 27 members, expanding into central and eastern europe, so again, not conspiracy, but reality.

Whether you think this is good or bad is not the point, as it is happening, and which nation dominates the EU?

We rightfully have no problem looking back to learn from slavery, colonialism, Empire here etc and yet fear looking back to German history in Europe?

And not just Germany, where afd and far right are active again, but in France, Italy, Poland, Hungary, Austria, Czech Republic, Slovakia etc, the far right are strong in the EU.

Hence requests from 12 EU states to build border walls, racism in football, 40% in France opposing EU with a strong version of the old NF, courts in Poland fighting against Brussels courts, Hungary being run by a facist etc etc.

The EU has a large right wing and i am surprised our far right wanted to leave, while remain sought to stay in this club?

Down the road, depending on where brexit takes the uk, roles could be reversed and the uk right might seek unity with the rest of Europe???

Discuss, lol

The origins in the EU predate the EEC and it's primary goal was avoiding another devastating war through politician and economic union

Aljazeera news did a great piece on the dark side of going green, their words, showing abandoned wind farm blades and what to do with batteries from E energy too.

Also shone a light on Bolivian lithium production 11k feet up on salt plains, where Bolivia has over 50% of global lithium, but could not build infrastructure to collect and manufacture it for E Energy batteries, so the Chinese builders came in....as they all over the world now.

Afternoon sir.

You are quite right.

Germany and France have no greater power or influence than Greece, for example.

I have no idea where i get these ideas from.

It is one big happy family.

We should re-join, toot sweet.

I am being serious on that bit...i have no qualms about joining the EU and they would love to have us.
