But I want to break it down…
How is Predator 2 the 2nd best. Over Predators & Prey?
Cos I’ve never understood the fascination with it..

Predators is pretty good but not better than Predator 2 IMO. Prey isn't even at that level. It looks like the budget was tight or something like that.

Ok, I’m a fair man, you got some wiggle room there..
defo looks like it’s done on the lowdown..
but a bold brave choice of a plot. And I think they nailed it, and the plot limits their sandbox of what could be done.
Predator 2, on the other hand is not restricted by anything. Nothing is off the table, they even got a coked up Gary Busey and a futuristic swat team.
It’s pants.
Busey did all the coke in Predator 2 lol. As in there was a coke shortage in America at the time as a result

Predator 2, much like Alien3, is very much underrated.
The gore, horror, suspense, action expansion into the lore of the predator world.
Smart disc cutting through cows and chopping buses in half was jaw-dropping at the time, similar to Blane’s death with the plasma castor through the chest.
Bill Paxton completing the trilogy of being killed by aliens, terminators and predators
King Willy
The scene with the predator vs the federal agents
One liners still present
Characters were better than the modern ones.
‘Come and get it, el Scorpio is reeeeaddddyyy’
It was an early nineties action movie and a sequel, there’s only one film that managed to surpass the original in this regard and that’s T2.
It’s no cinema masterpiece but it psses all over the modern films, including Prey.
