Not sure the government can do a lot more on vaccines. It’s clear people in the main have had them and there are a myriad of reasons why they’ve not been able to or won’t. Bottom line it’s a small number of less than a million and dropping all the time. Inevitably we will never get everyone. I think it’s been an incredible job to be honest. All round.

China is a state who have no regard for anyone else or what they think. The notion we pander to this is sickening.

We think we’ve got it bad, in the US they’re arguing because each state has a different definition of clinically vulnerable and priority orders though numbers there dropping they’re still forecasting another 130k deaths.

The initial WHO report makes clear covid was circulating way before December with multiple mutations by that point and not coming from the wet markets saying those clusters developed later. The ‘patient zero’ they presented was a simple office worker, never hiked in the country etc.

We’ll quickly get to a stage by maybe end April or mid May and there will be no valid reason for continuing any lockdown restrictions unless it’s to target zero Covid which will never be possible or to hide from a potential unknown variant. And we can’t do that.

I’m hopeful. And I think that rightly the government are playing things down.

Because some people who were offered the vaccine don't want to take it, over 90% have taken it and 15m+ already already been vaccinated. Not sure what the problem is.

Just all the bulletins and politicos are carefully always referencing those offered rather than those received. Offering is speculation. Actual is fact. I’m sure they’re trying to cover up that another region might have done a better job with the prioritisation focus rather than just raw numbers but, as you say, what is the big deal. We fully expect more refusing as we go down the groups. In the US it’s 31% saying they want to wait and see. They’ve not bee subject to such strict lockdown. Hopefully nothing like that here.
