No long masel.

Lauders if you're still here that's a shocker.

Get onto 'thorities.

When I look at the work scores of folk I know are doing.

That's just not right.

Virus isn't at the stage of not killing folk. Could be decades for that.

Daughter P2 this speaks F to F to kids online every day.

Often the kids it's a no show.

She'll be doing it tomorrow while Zach is also at work.

And writing Reports in the evening while Zach is on here.

To sum up the Fake News nonsense.

Every Teacher in Scotland has been working every day since August.

Most are now actually doing 2 jobs.

Either being in the building with key workers' kids.

Or delivering online lessons & engaging in Team meetings.

Also writing 4 times as many reports to keep families updated.

Making supportive phone calls to distressed carers.

And getting dugz abuse.

From folk who have intimate experience of the realities.

And again lauders if I didn't know you mate I'd have called that out.

No way should any family have not had a contact during lockdown.

Central Ed authorities can see everything - get them telt

Like a Lahndan Taxi Driver convention on here when you lot start.

'I had a teacher as a lad what a kvnt she was ...'

'Fella in my cab last week was a teacher - what a fvkin ...'

'Lazy kvnts the lotto them ..'

Never ever see it about any other group of worker.

And yet they can articulate their ire thanks to teachers.

Fwck em

Top 9 groups.

Well done for all the hard working teachers. So what? Millions work hard and earn nothing like the salaries or get the rewards teachers do. I don’t see their unions (if they have them) demanding priority.

Top 9 groups. Then decide. But to me it’s the police next. Then maybe shop workers.

It’s a disgraceful attempt to hijack protection from those who will have a huge increase in the chance of dying.

“There’s the line pal. Right back there.”

We seem to generalising a personality trait towards teaches in order to justify a position of 'sod them'.

For me it's not a question of 'whose more deserving, etc'

Shopworkers, etc are completely deserving - they at least can better manage social distancing and have institutionalised protection e.g. screens, etc.

Deal with the vulnerable first, then deal with those situations most at risk of spreading the virus.

The data clearly shows the impact of kids going back to school.

There's also a question of MH of a generation of kids being segregated from their pals.

I’ve just woke up, had a call with Sydney at 7.30am this morning as well, whoops.

And there’s the usual inference that other occupations don’t take work home which is clearly nonsense.

Btw I think we’re opening schools too early again, if she goes ahead and confirms a phased return from Monday.

Don’t get me wrong, I want the wee one back in nursery but we’re still seeing 700 positive tests a day, why not let it drop to at least 7 day rolling average or below 500?

Missed that - where was that inferred?

I'm lucky in that I can be almost as productive WFH than at work (time on here notwithstanding )

I took time off to home school - a logistical nightmare but credit goes to my kids teachers (one in primary and one in secondary) who are doing their best to keep some sort of education going.

I personally get what the teachers are saying that they can't control the environment. Kids not wearing masks bit could be carriers etc.

Equally I agree with the sentiment about the police as they will often be put in situations where people are out of control. Also busting up house parties with rangers players.

The problem is you start getting into the who goes first, who is most important debates.

We have a priority system, follow it.

If schools aren't safe then teachers don't go back till vaccination is done/ r ates are low enough

Completely disregarding the notion that families are equally struggling with MH issues.

Anyway, glad we’ve reached the point where we agree we deal with the vulnerable first. That’s the first 9 groups. After that ....

.....teachers can get in line with police, shop workers and the like.

If we follow the risk of spread then do kids first.

What?

Exactly.

It may well be the union and not speaking for teachers.

It is absolutely a matter of who is more deserving and right now that is who is most at risk of dying.

You seen the rude cants in shops? More guys filling shelves than there is on checkout who are reasonably protected. Thousands passing through these shops daily including aforementioned weans at lunchtime.

The vulnerable are defined already. Get them jabbed.

Kids are generally more robust than adults. Plenty of life left to live for them.
