I’m not against folk getting vaccine and I’m pro opening up
I believe if we vaccine ate the ones likely to die then we can open more safely than Tracy the 25 year old drama teacher getting a jag

----------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm sure there are many that would like to give Tracey the 25 year old drama teacher an injection

I had a young, female drama teacher at school. She always had a banana on her desk. As you can imagine plenty of rumours about what she did with it.

Wasn't there a link last week some US teacher that frigged herself off in front of the class?

Drama - right everyone, pretend you're a tree in the wind - wave those arms.

Week 2 - hedgehog in a ball / monkey leaping from branch to branch.

Week 3 - sad face / happy face.

Week 4 - Oh look, a holiday.

We seem to generalising a personality trait towards teaches in order to justify a position of 'sod them'.

For me it's not a question of 'whose more deserving, etc'

Shopworkers, etc are completely deserving - they at least can better manage social distancing and have institutionalised protection e.g. screens, etc.

Deal with the vulnerable first, then deal with those situations most at risk of spreading the virus.

The data clearly shows the impact of kids going back to school.

There's also a question of MH of a generation of kids being segregated from their pals.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It may well be the union and not speaking for teachers.

It is absolutely a matter of who is more deserving and right now that is who is most at risk of dying.

You seen the rude cants in shops? More guys filling shelves than there is on checkout who are reasonably protected. Thousands passing through these shops daily including aforementioned weans at lunchtime.

The vulnerable are defined already. Get them jabbed.

Kids are generally more robust than adults. Plenty of life left to live for them.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Asda on Saturday seemed like a normal pre pandemic day. Half the folk trying to do things right other half not caring which just led to more chaos

However, supermarkets everyone is wearing a mask, numbers are meant to be limited etc. I get the reality though is perhaps slightly different.

These exemption lanyards do my head in though. If you have such a severe condition you can't wear a mask then don't go to Asda on a Saturday.

Do an online shop and go out for a walk in the park if you need some air.

Quel surpris

Wee Nic has cottoned on to the fact that while she does everything to be ahead in making very firm with no argument brooked decisions and is of course going to be far more cautious in any easing of things she’s jumped the gun and set herself up for a major backlash if schools returning show the increase in transmission. Which it surely will.

Then of course like Westminster she and her government quite simply haven’t given enough guidance, time or preparation to them opening and that’s before the inevitable shaming by teachers unions.

And she’ll be lauded for it in the usual quarters. No U turns here to see. Simple sensible approach from no nonsense Nic.

Meanwhile her government are all hands to the pumps for the upcoming election and mandate for another independence vote whilst her housing minister quietly pulls £280m from the social housing budget.

Not a peep about that or the fair refusal to work with the very public inquiry into her and her governments lying and obfuscation.

Nothing to see here as they “fully cooperate” and have nothing to hide or fear eh?

I used to wonder how she gets away with it but then realised that all the smear is hidden away behind saltire waving.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

You’ll be correct.

The bare faced lying to a gullible population desperate for a freedom. She revels in her role of being a doom monger. There is no joy or sense of hope with the woman.

And she doesn’t care about the “cost”.

Yeah I absolutely think the majority of folk wearing these have nothing wrong with them and are just selfish people who don't want to wear a mask to protect others.

My point was more I know you are at it but if you had say

COPD
Extremely severe asthmatic conditions
Extreme anxiety

That is so bad you can't wear a mask then Asda at lunchtime Saturday is not the place for you at the best of times never mind during a global pandemic of a deadly respitory disease.

I murdered 3 people on Saturday, hid them in the plant based freezer so won't be found for months

Yeah it sounds likely but the case numbers tomorrow might change it. Over 500 cases for a weekend is still really high.

I thought they might introduce a 2 week full lockdown, only supermarkets open and no outside 5 mile travel limit and then reopen them.

If they did that cases would be under 100 a day.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
I know a lot is out on that rate, but I wouldn’t say it’s the main one. To take it to an extreme, if they only carried out 10 tests and 5 were positive it would be a 50% positivity rate. That would take away from the fact that only 5 people were positive. Think sometimes both numbers need contextualised.
