See when there is a thunder storm, that is just God getting really annoyed at the fact that he doesn't exist.

If god was all powerful and loving then why does god let evil exists?
If god was all powerful and lets evil exist then how is god all loving?

That's the main flaw in Christian preachings. God is all-knowing, all-loving and all-powerful.

Well he can't be all three because look at the world we live in. If he was just two out of the three it would work fine.

They also don't appear to realise that not every decision made under religious rule is influenced by religion itself.
==================================
If people actually tried to see the content/aim of rather than actions of people (who do certain things in the name of religion even though it's not permitted in those religions), the world will be a better place.

Without religion the world would be an infinitely better place

I'm not really sure how that is being selective considering my very first point was this, which you disagreed with/questioned. I'm selecting the topic I was talking about.
==================================
How comes your first thought went straight to cases where powers made what is considered as the wrong decisions?

I ask myself the same question, and the fact I cannot completely answer this tells me of my ignorance (as a christian) and the need to study and understand more.

The things I have learnt and chosen to live by from Christianity does not do me or the people around me any harm in fact it is the contrary.

But religion is all encompassing, and many people are using small parts of it and criticising it under the name of religion, when there is far more too it than that.

There's a reason why there are so many arguments against religion as it covers so much.

I know some people here are shocked to see my post claiming that christianity started the study of classical science. Well, I challenge you to go do a research on the history of Europe and its educational advancement. True, religious elites often persecutes the non conformists. But those who were driven by their faith have made a far more positive influence to Also, many wealthy Christians used their own money to secure lands and other properties during the height of the industrial revolution so that future generations would see the beauty of the natural sorroundings. Google the Lake District history and tell me this is not true.
You see, we humans are not perfect but you would not prefer any alternative to the current Western civilisation which is enshrined in the biblical moral codes. Western laws are a codification of morality.
