Right, I'm off to play football, before somebody bans it.
(Where else do you see racist chanting, as In Russia, recently?....somebody's going to ban it, soon, I swear).

Not religious myself, but starting to get a bit scared of the intolerance and hatred of those who want it banned.

Some of the most hate-filled, divisive, and intolerant comments on this thread have come from non-religious people, along with some of the wildest, most specualtive and most un-empirical claims.

Have a good evening, folks, I'm off to take it out on somebody's shin
I'd like to teach the world to sing

o many unanswered questions that religions can provide explanations/answers

No they dont

Not really, Hippo, because the people that carry out the actions or messages of religion are culpable.

People using religion for bad do not define it.

Thats the problem ... you religious people always reverse the argument to say Science has not disprove things or discovered things. It;s not up to non-believers to prove the non-existence of God.
You all claim there is one you prove it and answer my fooking question will you
Why do you believe in God ?

Mainly by making those answers up.

I have no problem in believing there may be a creator. That actually seems quite likely.

Where religion goes wrong (or 3 of the main religions anyway) is by claiming that this creator cares what we do, think, eat, drink, sleep with etc. That is just illogical nonsense. Sorry if you think that's disrespectful, but it just isn't true.

Not one bible basher has answered the question of why do they believe in God ?
So to hell with you all ! Yep ban it !

That's your belief Hippo, to a religious person it is true, it requires faith but a person with faith is willing to believe, if they don't force it upon people or do bad things in its name how can it be a bad thing?

I'm not religious myself by the way.

I propose don't believe what people want to force you to believe, believe what you see, I see that the chances of Earth existing, that were just the right distance away from the Sun, an atmosphere actually forming, an ecosystem forming to allow everything in it to live, the right amount of land and water, is pretty mind blowing if you think about it.

And then I think, the chances of this has got to be pretty damn small, and then I wonder maybe just maybe something out there did cause it all, even though we're never going to see it.

But nope people want to follow books where by people who don't follow said book are wrong and are going to an existence where by they will be tortured for infinity

How many versions of the bible are there again

posted on 28/11/13

The bible is a joke ! No historical fact in there at all.
At least the old testament does have some history in it.

yeah, what actually happened was 50 years after he died, some dudes invented some stories about him and some idiots believed those stories. then a dude named constantine believed those stories and forced everyone else too.

that is of course if you believe that jesus ever existed, which he probaly did not
==============================
More ignorance..
Lets make up stories and accuse others of making up stories without a single fact. In fact early Christians were under persecution by powerful powers yet somehow survived.
