Here's a thought...Try asking the people who "suggested" this in the first place. That's how a forum works.

Also, if Jose does not promote youngsters then how on earth is anyone supposed to name the youngsters that he did not promote? Funnily enough, I don't have a detailed database of all the youth teams of every club that Jose has worked for.

Trust this OP to ask a question back to front instead of just looking at which youngsters Jose has actually promoted in his career - like any intelligent person would.

If the OP had just asked the question the right way round then this might have been an interesting thread but he is always trying to be too "clever" and apparently lacks the tools to achieve that.

This is one of my major concerns with Jose considering United's rich history with young players.

Mourinho'll only be there for like three years maybe before he'll look for a new challenge. Can't you put that 'rich history with young players' shiiit to one side for those years and just enjoy the trophies he's gonna bring?

Slightly obtuse but I do get your point and I don't entirely disagree with it. The problem is that in 3 years every 19 year old will be 22 and will have moved on. Every 22 year old will be 25 etc. How do you just put your entire youth system on ice for three years and expect youngsters to put in a shift knowing that their only chance of first team football is to leave United?

As ever the best policy is a balance of experience/top quality and youth. We need a manager who can attract the top players that we desperately need but without neglecting the promising young players we already have.

Could United really just turn to Rashford and say "Jose's in next season so we have a new policy. Bye bye"?

The only reason you dudes are using academy players now is cuz of injuries. If that happens to Mourinho, he ain't gonna have a choice but to play them.

That is why we keep them instead of loaning them out.

Alright. So? If you're players didn't get injured Rashley would never have played. Its not like this is some tradition shiiit, Rashley got lucky.

Jose has always ensured that he has plenty of internationals in reserve. Otherwise how is it that none of his youngsters has ever got "lucky" like Rashford?

Yes he got lucky. That is how it often works.

But we had him in place to be able to benefit from that luck.

Jose played against us without a striker due to injuries or Costa being banned, can't remember which.

Imagine if you had a youth player to bring in.
