He doesn't tend to like using youngsters as much as other managers.
He bade some big mistakes in his second spell as Chelsea manager main two being selling Lukaku and De Bruyne.
Jose is however a winner and installs belief in his players.
RDD
Why don't you just save people the trouble and post the names of the youth Jose brought through, then we can go from there and see where the players are now!!
Lukaku and de bruyne are both good shouts. But they did go for decent fees and Chelsea do have to seel yo buy to keep on line with FFP
Your question does not relate to the premise of your argument.
Wasting players and not giving players a chance are different things.

how many Chelsea youth players from Jose's time are playing at the very top level or close to it though... I cant think of any/many tbh... De Bruyne and Lukaku were both big signings, not really youth... and both wanted first team football rather than being blooded
don't think the youth argument is as black and white as people make out... if they aren't good enough why should he play them...
I don't like agreeing with RDD haha... but I think Jose gets a bit of a raw deal in this respect

FFP had no effect on those 2 being sold. Try again.
You could argue that he doesn't necessarily know what the talent pool is at his disposal as he doesn't give them the chances required to mature into top level players with his teams.
Would KDB or Lukaku be where they are now if Jose had given them the chances to play regularly at Chelsea? Or Matic for that matter?

Ancelotti sold Matic (in his last season as part of the Luiz deal), not Jose
Chelse have a very good reserve team I believe. Think they won them league a coupl of yes ago and are top at the moment.
Surely there must be at least one player in there to be given a run out. Heard solanke is a good player and Nathan Baker by all accounts is a very good player but are yet to be given a decent chance.
They seem to send countless players out on loan rather than giving them a run out for the first team
I sense a bit of unease today amongst the Jose advocates while others are conspicuous by their absence.

The way that Chelsea have hovered up the youth and the amount of players they have on loan statistically should tell you that at least 1 of them is good enough to be a top player, yet we still haven't seen any sign of any of them coming through.
Either English players or foreign youth brought in so it does suggest that the issue is bigger than Jose to a certain extent and the problem actually lies with the club and the way that they run the academy.

The other argument is that he has been at clubs where success is demanded instantly. Did he really have the patience of the owners at RM and Chelsea to be able to blood young players? If he gets the United job, part of the role is to give young players a chance unlike RM or Chelsea. Whether he can successfully do that or is willing to do that is just another unknown

To clarify, he had felt no obligation from the owners to give the younger players a chance, winning was all that mattered. United is a different animal. If he's not willing to do so, he shouldn't get the job.
KdB
Lukaku
Bertrand
Bamford (Loan)
Cuadrado
Moses
Salah
Van Ginkel (Loan)
Kakuta
Josh
Romeu
T Hazard
Van Aanolt
Think thats a list we can put at Joses feet for not playing. Especially when you look at the squad and see how light we are in places like defence 4 cbs and 2 wing backs for 4 position for the last few years. We have sold 3 left backs in this time! 0 cover though, and feck me one even has a champions league medal and fully deserved it!
Would you consider a club with Jose at the helm if you are a promising young talent ? And on the flip side would it inspire you to sign for utd after watching young players get their opportunity this season ?
The question should really be has Jose ever developed a young player into a star?
The answer is no
Let's not pretend we would be playing all these youth players without these injuries.
But it is my biggest fear about Jose, that we'd never see a fairytale story like Rashford.

Nope he would loan Pato from Chelsea!

Does a three year contract afford a manager the time to bring in young raw talent at clubs where expectations are high.
