The fact that Varane was a first team player when he was bought and not an academy player.

The point of what United fans have suggested about Jose is to do with whether he would give our academy players a chance.

His record with academy players as far as I am aware isn't that good. It certainly isn't at Chelsea.

Not sure how. I can't see how Rooney would fit into any Jose Chelsea team. The Chelsea fans at the time, on here said the same.

VC - the point made has been that he doesn't give youth a chance. Transfer fee or not, how is Varane not a young player being used at the highest level???

And again, please list the Chelsea youth products Jose has failed to use,or are you just on the bandwagon ??

Would also be a useful, for comparison if you provide a managers at champions league clubs (other than u ited) that regular play youth products.

The OP didn't mention anything about academy players though. He just said young players and argued that Mourinho doesn't trust them and whilst that is true generally, Varane is an exception to that. As for Varane being first team, he was first team for some bottom half French team and Mourinho threw him in against Barcelona. That is definitely a big risk.

If it's just academy players, then yeah, there is no one from Chelsea I can think of.

No he did not. That is how the thread evolved. And this is exactly what United fans are on about with regards to Jose.

The OP is a a bit special. If you had dealings with him you would know exactly where I am coming from. For example, take the title of the thread. I don't believe anyone has said he wastes youth players.

No, we have not. Mario was already playing for Inter before Jose arrived. Loftus Cheek very rarely made an appearance under Jose, other than time wasting in the last minutes of a game already won.

Again, you miss the point as I stated on page 1. You are still struggling with the terms "used" and "wasted". They are not interchangeable. For example; Berbatov was wasted at Utd. He was not a young player.

So, to summarise, on yet another thread, you have made a fool of yourself.
