I have no idea. I was on about our top clubs.
LSTD is correct. If academy players arnt showing world class potential like Messi, Alaba, Muller did, Top clubs dont give them a consistent run in the team
Good grief LSTD, I think you can do the work on that one.

The common theme here are that most of the teams you state don't bother scouting and just buy everybody else's youth players.
Another theme is the oil teams who just buy ready made players.
52 - Who are these talents Jose should have been using??

------------
The work on what? There are next to no academy players that have broken through in those teams recently. Bellerin and Iheanacho are exceptions to the rule right now, not Chelsea.
And Vidicshin those clubs also have some of the best academies in Europe, could find a fair few talents amongst those teams who would have likely gotten a chance at the likes of Spurs.

Juve never do, last one was Marchisio, who's now played 300+ games for the club, although its something the current management are trying to change, our Primavera side has 3 or 4 very talented kids atm
PSG have Rabiot and Augustien in the first team picture
Barca have Sergio Roberto, Munir, Sandro Ramirez, Rafinha (until he got injured)
in the case of Barca Roberto is 24 and has established himself as nothing more than an option when one or two players need a rest, and really only managed that because of their transfer ban.
Munir and Sandro play a hand full of minutes despite being the only back up to Barcas front 3, and at least one seems likely to go the way of Deulofeu
PSGs league games are virtually meaningless at this stage and have been for a few seasons yet Rabiot the only one who has properly got game time, even Augustien barely features.
My point isn't to criticise other clubs, merely point out that this is the norm right now. If you want a youngster to come through the academy you have to look at teams not challenging for the title.
Pretty sure Barca persisted with Perdo as well.
Just think if we had done that.
No Edwards, Coleman, Charlton, Best, Giggs, Beckham, Butt, Nevilles, Foulkes, O'Shea, Wes Brown, plus all our current promising squad, plus the dozens I have missed. And we are an elite club, one of the biggest in the world. SAF was a believer in promoting where possible, and he was not too bad a manager.
Jose doesn't, with the payoff he would probably win something before getting his payoff after two to four years.
half of their first XI are still Cantera players, Pique, Alba, Busquets, Iniesta, Messi
Both missing the point key point.
Pedro came through at Barca 8-9 years ago now, those United players came through decades ago.
Football is changing and no top club is all that different to any other right now.

Go and google all the Chelsea youth teams over Jose's time and find out for yourself, if you are that interested.

im not missing the point at all, who are you expecting to come in and replace the best players in the world? a lot of their squad players are youth players
Real Madrid academy graduates to have seen a respectable amount of action this season:
Jesé, Lucas Vázquez, Dani Carvajal, Nacho. Cheryshev had seen a fair bit of action before he was loaned out too.
Kiko Casilla and Arbeloa were also academy graduates way back when.
Then there's about half a dozen current academy players who've made just the odd appearance or two or had a run out in cup games.
As for Barça, it's a pretty silly question.
Barcelona
So, no youth prospects good enough and yet Jose is battered by the LVG in brigade for not using youth products.
Sound like #mudlogic
its not just youth products from the academy, its young players in general, Lukaku, De Bruyne etc
LSTD, Barça have Munir and Sandro as cover for the forwards, both 20, both on a large number of apps this season;
They're slowly blooding Sergi Roberto in. He's featured a lot this season and shown his versatility in many different positions.
Rafinha was featuring quite a lot until Nainggolan did his ligaments, ought to be back soon.
Bartra has played quite a bit.
Jordi Alba is a graduate who left and returned.
There's just so many...
So, no youth prospects good enough and yet Jose is battered by the LVG in brigade for not using youth products.
..............
Who is this 'LVG in' brigade you are referring to?
This definitely makes you look more stupid than usual. And you usually look very stupid.
Football is changing and no top club is all that different to any other right now.
..........
Spot on.
Those days managers were given time to build a squad, and the expectations at top clubs werent as ridiculously high as it is now. Its too much of a risk to gamble on an academy player in current footballing environment, Unless they are phenomenally talented.
These days managers stay for around three years at a club. one bad run and they are out of the door. Which is why most of the managers at top clubs doesnt put faith on youth.
The clubs with less expectations like Leicester and spurs are in a far better position to develop youth compare to elite clubs
i don't think there is an LVG in brigade now, apart from Heisentwonk
2 of Barcelonas squad would be classed as young in my eyes, Munir and Ramirez.
Lucas Vazquez, Cheryshyev, Carvajal, Cassilla, Arbeloa all left to other clubs, either permanently or on loans, to establish themselves in football. Nacho is 24/25 he's not young.
Barca isn't a silly question, the last wave of players to come through their academy was 8 years ago.
Not a single title challenging club has had the sort of influx that Barca had 8 years ago.
People can argue that they have world class stars but that's just the point, Barca had them before yet they still gave their youngsters chances over them, they're currently not doing that, instead they're buying Neymar, Turan, Vidal, Suarez, Matthieu and whoever else.
United have given loads of youngsters a go the last two seasons but at no stage were they challenging for the title and they've been largely made to do it because of injuries.
The days of the massive clubs bringing through even 3-4 academy players as first team key players is behind us right now.
Don't think anyone can argue that.
