Short termism

I agree with you, and I think the board have as well. There's been no sign at all of him getting the gig full time, they haven't even negotiated a fee with Molde if they did decide to go down that route.

The main objective was to get someone to bring some happiness and positivity into the side again after almost 3 years of the miserable one.

I think there’s only 1 man out there and you should pay whatever it costs to get him and his team.

Yes, it’ll suck having a decent UTD team back in the PL but the Spurs meltdown will be worth it

I'm not trying to be patronising to Spurs here but the reality is when any club has a player/manager that are performing well, at some point bigger clubs come calling, we found that out ourselves when Real came after Ronaldo

I thought you meant Klopp?

I'd pay to watch United put one over Liverpool, by taking their manager

That would be the unbelievable victory, Jeff!

Salah to Man Utd and then maybe beat Liverpool?

Sad.

The noise at Old Trafford when Van Persie scored against Arsenal.

Weird.

Ole would actually be a long term decision for me. If he is good enough then he would likely stay with us for a decade or more. Not many managers are likely to do that long these days. The question is whether he is good enough. If he does a good job until the end of the season I'd give him the job.

You’re not getting Poch. Stop being a greedy crybaby demanding new toys all the time.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We might not , but isn't that what all clubs do when they sign managers/players?
That's being going on for decades and won't stop just because it doesn't suit Spurs or any other club right now

My gut feeling is that Poch wants the United job. There has been a change in how he has addressed the link with United since Jose left.

Please can people provide their opinions of why poch is a good choice for man United?

He has won less trophies than jonny evans

Trophies alone are no guarantee, look at how we ended up with Jose, Poch has had Spurs punching well above their weight for a while now, I also reckon he'd give youth a bit more of a chance too

An attractive style of play
Players willing to run through brick walls for him
Excellent record of promoting youth
Coaches players to a higher level

Couple that with the resources UTD can provide and I think trophies will be a given

We all knew how the jose thing would turn out though.
Every single united fan i know expected this to happen.

Moyes punched above his weight with Everton.

Poch is just lucky that chelsea havent been great recently, neither have city, neither have United and neither have arsenal.

I think we’d be short term even if we got Poch as that’s the machine we’ve become

If he doesn’t get top 4 in his first season I’d imagine he’d be sacked

The problem isn’t so much the managers - it’s the framework the powers that be have put in place that stops any long termism to happen

I don't know Ole, you don't know ole, no other fan knows Ole.

The club do. If he succeeds this season maybe there. Is more to it than an isolated achievement?

Maybe, just maybe, he is actually a talented manager?

I think Poch would be a good fit but he hasn't won anything. What Ole has done at Molde shouldn't be discounted.

The whole poch thing annoys the fack out of me to be honest.

If united werent a useless heap of shiet the past year and if arsenal stopped pissing about as well as Chelsea, spurs really wouldnt get a look in the top 4 considering liverpool are now one of the best teams in the league.

I think the consistency he’s brought to Spurs in both the league and the CL in terms of qualification is pretty much a trophy in itself. Certainly a better achievement than what Ole did at Molde

Spurs had a better away record in 2018 than any side in Europe bar Bayern

Maybe Poch is a bottler but tbf he’s certainly proved himself a very very good manager

Sorry op. If ole makes CL spot he should get the job imo. Poch can wait. It’s a big ask but already has done a good job.

I’m sick fed up with out short term ‘money buys sucess’ Attitude catagorised under the woodward era, and that counts for managers too, if ole does well, let’s give him the chance.

No guarantee poch will succeed anyway none at all..
