What possessed him to do it, we hear this on the day a true legend and gentleman passes away.

That is just disgusting, what a classless wánker.

A real shame, held Fletcher in quite high regard, as bad as the rest of the scúmbags infesting British streets in recent years.

Cinci - Is that comment meant to reflect that in the drug ridden, murder ridden, crime ridden cities of USA all the kids are angels?

posted on 19/1/14

No DJ, its meant to reflect the well known issues currently being dealt with in the UK with shameful attacks on many people in the streets and yobs on every corner causing mayhem.

As for the usual nonsense you throw at the USA, you could not be more wrong, i have yet to meet an expat who feels the USA is more dangerous than the UK, and personally i think this country is much safer, and having lived in both i am very entitled to that opinion.

I think it's all the massacres in schools, cinemas etc that make the USA appear worse to the outsider.

posted on 20/1/14

Absolutely Bute, the gun ideal here is plain ridiculous, no dispute on that issue.
But the simple fact is you are far more likely to be a victim of crime in the UK than you are in the USA.

Haha, had no idea he has also spent the weekend sending filthy images to some girl he doesn't know, she has copied some of them apparently.

Sounds like his #headsgone again.

Haha.

But don't use the symbol, Gem. The smiley police are about. I used it once, but think that I got away with it.

"No DJ, its meant to reflect the well known issues currently being dealt with in the UK with shameful attacks on many people in the streets and yobs on every corner causing mayhem."

It is actually becoming a real nuisance and makes it quite hard to get to work because you have to step into the road at every single corner to get round the mayhem-causing yobs, it can add a good five minutes to a ten minute walk. It makes it a right pain to hail a cab too because you're always standing amid yobs on every corner, typically waving their arms as part of their mayhem and taxis just ignore you.

Grow up Cinci. You can hardly say the view of America is unreasonable when you spew out hyperbole as you do. Let's have some consistency shall we? I spent three months in New York and 15 in London...I haven't been stabbed, shot, mugged, run over, kicked, attacked, shouted, intimidated or even looked at in a funny way. Obviously neither city is particularly representative of countries with such variation between cities and regions (the US particularly) but the idea that there are gangs on every UK corner is absolute nonsense...and you know that...so why say it?

Disgraceful behaviour from Fletcher and adding the photo incidents, makes me wonder why they do such a thing.

I see the usual UK v USA debate has been revived. As an ex-pat myself, I have never felt threatened over here, albeit I don't live in one of the "big cities".

It's unfortunate about the gun laws, but they are here to stay and as has been pointed out before, the vast majority of incidents are either crimes of passion or gang (drug) related. It's only the tragic school incidents that capture the headlines and a few bizarre separate shootings that occur on the spur of the moment.

Having lived in both countries, I know where I'd rather be.

You had better hope that guns are there to stay - throughout history, whenever guns have been seized from the people, Leftist nutters have then turned the screw on the people who can no longer fight back.

You have a Leftist nutter in charge and he wants your guns and will not stop his plan for a Marxist USA until every last gun is seized under a false peace.

Sandy Hook actors, anybody?

Cinci - you talk a lot of rubbish about Wolves but its sound sensible stuff compared to this nonsense.

Some people in USA seem to see things differently to you despite your expertise

so a forum is the authority on such things, whilst the facts are ignored.

Like i said, it is a fact that you are more likely to be a victim of crime in the UK, 4 times more likely in fact.

The lengths you go to DJ to try and make a point. A 7 year old article.

I can tell you now that there were and still are no-go areas in the UK and guess who rules those areas too.
