Brain, my point surrounding the media would justify your point if we were only reading the media.
Thankfully the people of Scotland have actually taken this seriously and went looking for information ourselves. We've read reports, we've looked up legislation, we've examined specific quotes by experts in a variety of fields.
You've ignored my comment about the impact of the grassroots campaigns and that my friend shows your ignorance about what's been happening up here. It is these people, and the individuals in their homes who have spent hours reading and searching for information to fully investigate the ramifications of each and every policy and suggestion made by our politicians.
We aren't sheep. We don't just believe what we're told in the papers. We are much, much more active than you give us credit for, and your accusations do this country and its people an injustice.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The media is a component part of the campaign, and obviously not the sole source of information. You seem to take a well rounded view, and that is good, but can you say the same for others? Many will not agregate the information in the same way as you do, and focus on the simplistic nationalistic drum banging that seem to come across so loudly. the statement about "the individuals in their homes who have spent hours reading and searching for information to fully investigate the ramifications of each and every policy" is just plain laughable. Most people need information spoon fed, both the English and the Scots. Many people in society are undereducated and ill informed, both English and Scottish. your view is romatic but naive, and not to mention likely to be completely wide of the mark.
This isn't how oil and gas works.
There isnt one big easy-to-get reservoir, that we underestimated the fluid inside.
This is a vote for Independence to Fat Eck.
I think if we do get Independence Labour will get voted in as this is no more, no less a protest vote just like UKIP.

It has been a wonder to see the politicization of the Scottish electorate.
All high on change.
Wait for the comedown slump!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That could be one of the worst things to come out of this if the country votes No. If Scotland votes Yes I believe the momentum will continue, with a determination to make it work, and not sit on our collective erses in apathy, which is what will happen to a lot of the electorate if we vote No.
"That by booting out Trident we're effectively handing over national border security to English forces."
That has already happened under the UK. We have no major surface ships stationed in Scotland & have had RAF Kinloss & Leuchars shut down, leaving Lossiemouth as our only RAF base.
Begging for scraps is not a good thing.

Do you think that's one sided chief? Feck me, there's pro-British nationalist drum banging (or should that be flute playing?) going on too.
I'm not saying everyone is sitting at home reading up on things on the internet, but you'd be surprised at how many are. People want to be engaged, people want to have the information and since no one else is giving it to us we go out and look for it.
And then what happens is that the people who are looking up the information, your average, working class man, goes into the pubs and clubs and workplaces (and dare I say jobcentres and foodbanks) up and down the country and pass on what they've found. They tell their pals, their colleagues, their wives, their husbands, their kids. And the message spreads, the facts spread, the knowledge spreads.
I don't know if you're aware of how condescending you're coming across here, but you're certainly coming across as someone who is entirely out of touch with what's happening up here.
Oil and Gas in Aberdeen is fücked atm anyway.

SDL, Britannica, UKIP, BNP, Orange Order.
When ever someone accuses the Yes campaign of being nationalistic, bring up that lot.
